25.01.2022 So many of our small business friends have truly fought hard to be open this week - we’re proud to support them as much as possible and for the resilience that they have shown!

24.01.2022 Bring on visits to the Peninsula It’s been such a long time since a lot of our customers have been able to see so many of your smiling faces, but they are ready and waiting to serve you amazing food, wine, beer, cider & coffee! Make plans to visit the Peninsula safely and see why we bloody love this part of the world

22.01.2022 So your wine list ideas are starting to come together! Great. Now it’s time to talk about Pinot Noir, the Peninsula’s most planted variety and what will be one of your best sellers. Having an amazing Pinot Noir on your list doesn’t need to cost a fortune and it doesn’t need to be from one of the most popular brands - variety is the spice of life, after all. You really can’t go past @phaedrusestate for quality, value & story. A magnificent family, making unbelievable wines, w...ith such a strong passion and a superior ability to build on each vintage. This is a full-bodied Pinot with ripe cherry fruits and supple tannins. Five different clones and four different French coopers add layers of complexity to this delicious wine. Put simply - We are very proud to be their distributors & we LOVE this wine So, when you decide on the Pinot Noir part of your list - make sure you consider this superb offering

22.01.2022 Who doesn’t love a Barossa Shiraz? Seriously!? As you start to finalise your wine list ideas ahead of next week, it’s time to talk about what is going to be one of your best sellers. There are heaps of Shiraz’s around - that’s for sure. Lots of big companies, with lots of unrefined quality running around in bottles. But Barossa Shiraz doesn’t need to be like that! Helen & Sam Clarke from @pontifexbarossa make wines that are distinctly different from their neighbours. ... Supple, lush, refined & delicious - their Shiraz is a knockout. Coupled with one of the best labels we’ve seen, the Pontifex Shiraz is truly the complete package. Patrons love being able to buy a bottle of wine for the table that is great to look at, but is also tastier than expected! Trust us when we say - you’ll want to look at this wine Have you got a small Barossa producer on your list?

19.01.2022 As you continue to think about your wine list this week, it’s hard to ignore the classic & delicious Rosé. In addition to great local options, you would be ill advised to not have a French Rosé on your list. Our go to Rosé on our list is from Bertainé et Fils. Sourced from the Aude Valley, in the foothills of the Pyrenees & made from Syrah - this wine is gloriously aromatic and shows ample red berry fruit on the palate, combining with balanced acidity for a long finish. ... Ridiculously well priced, already well loved by the customers who already have it on their list and really enjoyed by their patrons - this wine should be a serious contender for your summer profit margins. Have you got a French Rosé sorted for summer?

17.01.2022 Customer shoutout! Rosebud RSL decided half way through last year to start focusing on local wines (how good!!). As Dylan, Claire & James are current and ex-serving ADF, it made sense for us to be in the picture! Brett and the team wanted to showcase some of the brilliant, lesser known brands on the Peninsula - without having to charge a fortune. We helped them out with these three producers and these awesome wines from their range, which are all incredibly good value fo...r money. We love being able to help venues change their beverage direction and to shine a light on our love of locals. Plus, the reaction to the new list was really positive & customers were loving drinking them! More power to venues like Rosebud RSL & people like Brett! Can’t wait to see them back open again & supporting our local community as always!

13.01.2022 Friends - There are blue skies ahead! Please take a few moments to read the below. You will have seen many posts like this one. Asking for your support through the next few months. The good news is, the other side of this exists. The bad news is, many of us may not be there to see it - unless the local community make a conscious effort - Right. Now.... Like many small businesses, we have invested into the community - through donations, time, support or advice. Now, along with our customers, we ask for your investment back into us. We can appreciate that going out to dine and drink will be a different experience than what you are used to. But we must continue to support small businesses through these times to ensure that local jobs survive. Innovative customers of ours on the Peninsula are offering full menus for pick up and/or delivery, bottleshops are offering free home delivery and everyone is taking the necessary precautions as advised by the relevant authorities. The Peninsula thrives on tourism, but it can survive on locals investing in locals. To support Four Pours directly, please go and support our customers. In every town on the Peninsula, there are venues that support us - they need your help to continue to do so. You can see which wines we sell to them via the link in our bio. Why not check out one of the few below (in no particular order too, they are all super important to us) - there are many more too and visiting any café or restaurant will have a hugely positive effect on cash flow, mental health and confidence. @peninsulahotsprings @sorrentogolfclub @blairgowrieiga @siscopizza @the_foyer_rosebud @kobi_jacks @two_buoys @seabreezecellars @jettyroadbrewery @flindersgeneralstore @cellarandpantry @fontalinapizza @commonfolkcoffee @afghanmarcopolo_mornington @adhocmteliza @racvcapeschanckresort @geonbaefrankston @geonbaehastings @thehastingsclub @cellasomie @torellofarm @thehungrypeacockthebusypeacock @ercolano_marco @puerto_tapasvino @cptnjacks @volpinopizzeria @southbeachmtmartha @pbcomornington @italicosorrento @swordfishwinebar @brassrazu @themilbri @parcha_kitchen : @tommytee_

Ask for Main Ridge Cider at your local bottleshop, or visit Ritchies, Red Hill Cellar And Pantry, Flinders General Store, Blairgowrie IGA + more to buy in-store & support local!

11.01.2022 Happy International Dog Day from Kenny (who’s all grown up now) and one of his new girlfriends, Maggie the Border Collie (It’s hard to have a business name like Four Pours and not be obsessed with Dogs!)

09.01.2022 Moscato. Let’s be honest, it’s a love/hate relationship. But it’s a necessity on ANY wine list! . We have two AMAZING examples that will tickle anyone’s fancy! . Handpicked Wines Moscato d’Asti is mind blowing. Italian, low alcohol, slightly spritzy and delicious fruit characteristics (think apricot & orange blossom) it’s an absolute winner!... . Fowles Wild Bouquet is our Australian option - think aromas of mixed fruits, musk sticks and roses. The palate is sweet and fruity with a spritz of refreshing bubbles. . Haven’t got a moscato for your list? Click the link in our bio and arrange a FREE wholesale tasting now. We’ll bring these two to you and help you to make more money! . . . . . . . . . #fourpours #morningtonpeninsula #morningtonpeninsulawine #melbourne #mornington #moscato #piedmonte #italianwine #summer #spring #winelist #canberra #brisbane #sydney See more

07.01.2022 Producer shout out - M O S S E L I N I You may not have heard of this winery on the Peninsula, but once you’ve tasted it - you won’t forget it! Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir & Shiraz - all made a little differently to our other brilliant wineries, these guys deliver massive bang for buck, look great & taste even better. Dylan & James are touring the Peninsula with samples for the next few weeks and we would LOVE to show you them!... Just another winery that we are working with to help you grow your margins & make more money.

06.01.2022 Prickly Moses from the Otway Ranges make some of the best, purest (thank their rainwater) and biggest value for money beers in the country. We have the full range available, including this bloody delicious ChainSAW Ale, now in cans! For wholesale - DM us if you’re keen for a taste, you won’t be disappointed

05.01.2022 Now is the time to be thinking about your wine list. We mean properly thinking about it. How are your margins? Are you still shopping at Dan’s? Could you be getting a better deal using local suppliers? As we make the big play to re-open the Peninsula, this week is the time to sort out your lists and get your orders ready for next week. Sauv Blanc is the great divider. Loved by many, disliked by just as many, but the solid sales performer for both locals and tourists - the cla...ssic NZ Sauv Blanc is a MUST have for your wine list for summer. Our favourite on our list from across the ditch is Kindred Spirits. Lush gooseberry & passionfruit combine with great acidity and it doesn’t smash you in the face with that freshly cut grass vibe. The best part is that it’s on-premise only on the Peninsula & a great price! So, have you got your Sauv Blanc sorted for summer, one that isn’t available everywhere? Happy wine list organising!

04.01.2022 Let’s do this If you’re able to get out and support your local venue - do it! (Safely, of course)

03.01.2022 From Dylan & James - a Very Happy New Year to you! We are excited to see what 2021 has in store, but are so grateful to your support through 2020. We hope this weekend is a busy and profitable one for your business!

02.01.2022 To our amazing small business customers and wider community - you can do this. You’ve got practice at doing this and all the data you need to help you pivot back to surviving stage 3 lockdown. If there’s anything the Four Pours team can help with including just a chat, don’t hesitate to reach out to Dylan, James or Jarrod. Good luck for the next 6 weeks and a massive thank you for your continued support over the last few months.
