24.01.2022 If anyone was wondering with visting restrictions and social distancing services I'm still open for business and comply with all social distancing requirements. All booking and payment is contact free via an online booking link I can send you or you can access through the Facebook Page. The only adjustment is your support person will need to bring your labelled placenta (labelled with hospital identification stickers) to the ward entrace for collection or take it home and fre...eze. I am happy to collect from alternative locations and as always follow safe transport guidelines. I can organise delivery to your support person for collection, deliver to your home or arrange a courier service at your convenience. In regards to expecting parents who may be faced with potential of carrying Covid-19 all research indicates there is no transfer via placenta, therefore no risks are associated with placenta encapsulation. If you would like more info I can send you a peer reviewed research article. I am happy to email you a no obligation information pack at any time explaining the encapsulation process, frequently asked questions and information around Group B Strep. The service will offer placenta encapsulation to women in the Albury-Wodonga region. I am a Registered Nurse & Midwife and have practiced for over 10 years. I'm currently home based after becoming a mum last year but still want to support women. ... 09.01.2022 I had a lovely, and very much overdue, catch up with Barb from Albury Wodonga Midwifery Services yesterday to drop off some brochures for Fourth Trimester Services. I was lucky enough to have Barb care for me during my pregnancy, birth and fourth trimester last year. Barb was a mentor for me when I was studying midwifery 7 years ago. I loved how at ease she made my husband and I feel throughout our journey, as I can be a little bit of an over thinker (I research before I ever... make a decision). Barb made me feel comfortable as I knew she had already done the research and reading and was always able to answer my questions. So happy to see what she's achieved in offering such a well overdue service to the area and fantastic to hear Tanya has joined her. I highly recommend anyone who is wanting personalised and woman centred pregnancy care to speak with Albury Wodonga Midwifery Services.
