17.01.2022 Yesterday with the financial support from the NTCTA, Darwin Clay Target Club held the ladies and juniors come and try day. It was to kick off at 11am but we had... people rolling in at 1030am. In total there were 47 participants. Each had 15 targets to try consisting of 5 DTL with Nick, 5 sporting with Themili and Casey, and 5 skeet with Chris and Les. We didn't have a booking system so there was a wait time. Renee grouped everyone up and kept participants rolling through after receiving a safety brief from Marcus. Ruby and Karli sorted out the BBQ. Thank you to all that helped out especially those from TEGC, all your help was greatly appreciated. I received the attached text as I headed home and this was the feedback that resonated from all that attended. Hopefully we grow our sport from holding these sort of days. Thank you to the support of NTCTA and the volunteers. Sorry I was a bit busy and forgot to take photos. Tania #sheplaysnt #claytargetshooting #darwinclaytargetclub See more

09.01.2022 Good morning all -after the fire danger period last week/weekend, the NT Parks and Wildlife Commission has informed us: The wildfires are now under control and ...OK to allow hunters and bookings to recommence in the BCH block. Thank you for your understanding regarding the wildfire event and associated risks. FYI approximately 10,000 ha in total across the Top End was burnt in one week. Sounds like a pretty hectic time for them. Remember to check weather condition predictions before heading to the block and if it is hot and there is a strong wind, keep an eye out for wildfires and smoke. Keep safe.

05.01.2022 Tonight, a big shoutout to all the awesome businesses who support our sport. Our recent Precision Rifle Challenge, two days of Centrefire and then 22lr had som...e awesome support from Mick Goold at MG Electrical and from Fishing & Outdoor World. Support from businesses like these make a huge difference in allowing clubs to run matches like these, from simply helping out with dinner for the weekend to prizes big and small on the table. So we in turn need to get out there and support them back. Look after those who look after the sport.

04.01.2022 The Sauer 100/Leupold combo in action again

04.01.2022 So, who are the kind of men who carry pocket knives today? They are typically utilitarian. They are the type of men who work hard for a living, fix what is brok...en, and stand fearless in the face of a world full of evil. To put it simply, they are the type of men that I feel this world needs more of. If you find yourself in a tight spot and need some help, just ask the guy with the pocket knife. Although they are few and far between these days, chances are he can and will be able to help you out.

01.01.2022 Sunday 11 October 2020 50tgt DTL Handicap and some might be interested in a bit of Tower, so if you’re keen we will also do a 50tgt Tower event. $30 for each co...mp beginning 8.30am. Handicap was designed so that shooters of different abilities could compete against each other fairly. In handicap the shooters stand farther away, between 15 and 25 metres, from the trap house. The greater a shooters ability the further back they stand. A shooter’s ability and hence the distance behind the traphouse from which they shoot (called their meterage), is determined by their average handicap score for the year or the minimum handicap mark according to obtained grade.
