Although David shared countless valuable insights in this conversation, what are the top 3 points to take away from this conversation? Tip 1: Often doing nothing is the best strategy. During periods of uncertainty and volatility, a lot of investors feel they need to be buying or selling. 16.01.2022 What is the insurance that most of our members have made a claim on? Income Protection. Income protection enables you to receive up to 75% of your income if you need to step away from work due to illness or injury. Plus, income protection is generally tax-deductible and affords you the space to focus on recovery without the financial stress of mounting debt and unpaid bills. When it comes to tax time, there are some things to keep in mind. If your IP insurance is held outside of super, your IP premiums are generally tax-deductible. However, if your IP insurance is held inside super, your premiums are only tax-deductible in certain circumstances (such as if youre a self-employed worker).
