04.01.2022 NTG FUNDED COURSE Pre-employment Carers Program Commencing on Monday, 29 June 2020... This program will prepare the student for entry into a Certificate III Individual Support or Health Services Assistance role, or employment in the care industry. The participants will gain a basic level of knowledge and practical experience throughout the program Program delivery The pre-employment/traineeship pathway to workforce program, will be delivered at our Nakara campus utilising our clinical teaching laboratory and online learning as an intensive 3 week program. The first program will commence on Monday 29th June with attendance required for each of the 3 weeks Monday to Wednesday with online and a self-directed supplementary component requiring a commitment of a further 2 days per week. Program costs Free funded by the Northern Territory Government, Department of Trade, Business and Innovation Learning outcomes By the end of the intensive teaching and learning program, participants will have a basic level of knowledge and practical experience for care work. Successful students will have completed the following units of competence towards a full Certificate III: HLTAID003 Provide first aid HLTINF001 Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically Also partial completion of a personal care support unit that will offer some recognition of prior learning towards the unit CHCCCS011 Meet personal support needs.
