25.01.2022 Magnetic Tiles How awesome is this creation from the new learn and grow toys magnetic ball run expansion pack. The magnetic tiles are one of our most played with resources so when I saw the ball run expansion pack, it was a no brainer to add it to our already popular Connectix Tiles. My daughter and her daddy made this cool set up. 22.01.2022 Special Delivery arrived today! Super fast too! From @welcometocountryau We’ve been learning all about colours so I ordered this stunning book, Colours of Australia by Bronwyn Bancroft. Also got some other goodies, patterns snd shapes of Australia and some original art work on clapsticks. I always try to embed Aboriginal Culture into our program and I find books are particularly engaging for my little ones (we read so many books a day) as well as our daily earth and meal blessings, acknowledgement to country, photos, dolls, original art works, fabric. With each space, I like to consider how I can incorporate Aboriginal culture meaningfully and respectfully. I’m still learning, and I hope I continue to grow to teach the children about Aboriginal culture so they learn about our countries first people

16.01.2022 Welcome to our Hair Salon We have had some little people having their first ever visits to the hair dressers so that has inspired this weeks role play area. I have had the honour of some lovely hair styling this week thanks to my little ones. 15.01.2022 Whilst I have been rapping The Very Cranky Bear for a while now....bahahaha all be in not very well, I’ve stumbled across BIG W’s FB page where they have artists rapping books and it’s sooo fantastic. I’ll definitely be incorporating some rap story time into our mat sessions

14.01.2022 You Are Loved Beyond Measure Happy Fathers Day to all the dads. You are so loved The children beam with pride when they gift their creations, such a special time creating, wrapping and then gifting their precious work for their special dads. I interviewed the children and used their words that they used to describe their dads, special memories they shared together and personal ways that each of their daddies connect with them. Some included beard tickles, Bunnings, BCF, be...ing thrown in the air, wrestling, bike riding, being silly and special bedtime stories. We then placed all of these words into the image (tape measure) with the caption, you are loved beyond measure. 13.01.2022 We are so very lucky, our beautiful new mud kitchen from Creative Play Australia was delivered today. Australian wood and made locally here in Perth (yes they deliver Australia wide) #supportlocal My day care kids loooovvveee playing in the mud kitchen and this one will allow for everyone to have some much needed bench space. Can’t wait to see their little faces : mind blown We also have he large painting easel from Creative Play Australia and the quality is awesome ... 13.01.2022 Ice Cream Parlour This weeks invitation to play following on from our rainbow and colours interest was sparked from a detailed conversation whilst reading The Un-Scary Book by Nick Bland where the not so scary monster hands Nicholas Ickle a not so scary delicious ice cream. One child asked if I had any ice cream and could they have one. We went on to discuss everyone’s favourite flavour, colour and how delicious it is Like bees to a flower, the children ran to this... imaginative play space and began lots of role play, taking turns, language skills, and really engaging in the space. 09.01.2022 Butterfly Adventures We have been so lucky to have had some caterpillars from Butterfly Adventures to watch as the magic of nature unfolds before our eyes. The children were in awe watching the caterpillars get bigger, make their cocoons, the colour of their cocoons changing, then emerging into beautiful monarch butterflies.
