20.01.2022 Need a little extra support before end of year tests or exams? Come in for a few sessions for help with revision!

19.01.2022 If your child is struggling with sounding out words or identifying beginning or end sounds, have a go with these! These note pads cost approximately $4 all up and all I've done is write consonants on the first and last pad, and vowels on the middle. Flip the pages to make silly words (it's all about the sounds - don't worry if it's an actual word or not!) and get your child sounding out. You could also write blends and digraphs such as sh/st/cl/ch/ck on the first and last pad dependent on what your child is learning.

08.01.2022 A great quick activity to try with your kids in the car if they are getting muddled with past and present tenses. Give your child an event (going to the movies, buying something, seeing a friend or something crazy like going to the moon) and ask them to pretend it's happening tomorrow and to tell you all about it. Then ask about the same event but as if it happened yesterday. Use sentence starters such as tomorrow, next week, earlier today, yesterday, a few weeks ago and ri...ght now to help them get started. It's also a great way to introduce new ways to start sentences rather than 'then'!
