25.01.2022 Hi everyone For new followers I’m going to tell you about us! We are a kangaroo sanctuary in South Australia called Pumpkins Patch Kangaroo Sanctuary. In Sou...th Australia it’s illegal to release orphaned joeys back to the wild so they have their forever home here with us which can be anywhere from 15-25 years. We have 23 kangaroos and a mix of Red kangaroos and Western Grey kangaroos and two Euros ( Wallaroo’s) You will see a lot of videos of Rufus and others in the house but they don’t live in the house, they spend the day and night outside only coming in the house on a evening for a few hours until we go to bed then back outside. The kangaroos do this on their own accord and want to come in and we just go along with what makes them happy and if they decide they don’t want to come in anymore then so be it it’s totally up to them. All the males here are desexed and we do this because it’s part of our permits and also for safety reasons plus we don’t want them breeding as there are orphan joeys out there needing help. We are a self funded sanctuary and do our best to help kangaroos/ joeys in need. I can say all the kangaroos here are very happy and loving life and most importantly safe loved and not a worry in the world. 23.01.2022 It is with great sadness to hear off the tragic loss of the members of the Police force that lost their lives in the line of duty. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and the fellow comrades that have been affected by this.

19.01.2022 Today has brought some fun to the Fox on the Run Motel in Kilmore. It was good to have a little dancing in the snow after everything that has been happening. Please all stay safe.
