16.01.2022 Fpv-Power Is now supplying American Maxwell Technologies Super Capacitors To Australia. Many uses not limited to, engine/motor starting both marine/cars/trucks. Used in conjunction with SOLAR. ... Electric vehicles and so on... We supply Used Maxwell Super Capacitor. These are Taken off Electric trains after their service life. DATASHEET Available here: https://bit.ly/2WFXbZV Please note that the datasheet has two versions a small and a large, we only supply the larger one. ( So go off the right side collum). We bring them in from overseas on a monthly basis, but due to limited quantity, we are almost always backlogged with orders from customers. We are able to supply Super Capacitor in two forms: A) Original 48V banks. ( The way it comes off the trains) Size: L 418mm * W 194mm * H 179mm Weight: 13.5kg B) 16V bank (for 12v use). Size: L 375mm * W 62mm * H 170mm Weight: 3kg These 16V banks are taken/disassembled from an original 48V bank and thereafter install a protection circuit board in case of a situation where overvoltages occur. As the original 48v protection circuit board renders useless when we dissembled the Caps into 16v banks. All Super Capacitors are inspected and tested for their Internal Resistant, as this is KEY to know the health of these capacitors. Like batts, these are storage devices, and there are specified Internal resistance values from the time of manufacture, we ensure all our Caps are within specified values in order to guarantee healthy working Super Caps. Regardless of 48v or 16v as per the Datasheet herein attached, these Caps can offer a peak of 1900Amps of current, which would cover say 99% of applications. Life Cycles: As per the datasheet these have a million cycle on them! Noting that when in use on the trains, I doubt they ever see Zero volts. In perspective, these Caps will outlive most of us. Noting that the 48V Banks brand new cost over $3000 Australian Dollars. Our price on used Super Caps are: 48v Banks $300 each + postage. 16v Banks $150 each + postage. PICKUP MOST WELCOMED With limited supply/ availability, we are almost always taking pre-orders for our next months container delivery. Please talk to us with current/future availability.

As lithium batteries don't discharge linearly, you can't get an accurate gauge of how many Amp hours you have left in your battery from just the voltage reading. Our new meter will tell you how many mAh used/left as well as current amp draw! Just about to go into production so it should be available by the end of the year! 11.01.2022 Not Kayak related but this is what weve been working on in isolation! Our Super Capacitor / Lifepo4 Hybrid systems are designed specifically for cranking and is a direct replacement for any engine that needs less than 1900 amps. Common uses include cars, trucks, heavy machinery and boats. The advantages of running our Hybrid battery system over a standard Lead battery is as follows:... - Super Capacitors are rated for 1,000,000 Cycles! - Able to dump 1900A at will and fully recharge in 3-4 seconds via car alternator. - LiFePO4 batteries are the safest type of Lithium batteries and even if punctured they will not catch on fire. - Works perfectly down to -40 degrees Celsius. - Will only drop 1v if left uncharged for a year. No more worrying about not starting the car for a few weeks! Especially useful for boats and RVs - Cost-effective as not much more expensive to buy and will outlast a Lead battery many times over. 08.01.2022 Had a chance to use the Scott Lovig Hobie V3 drypants a few times now and happy to report they work great! They are much thinner and lighter than the old version we upgraded from which makes wearing boat shoes or crocs easy. We had trouble getting the old version to fit comfortably in any footware. The drypants kept us dry and comfortable even after some really wet beach launches and breathability works as advertised with no moisture buildup even after working up a sweat with some hard pedalling. 04.01.2022 Warning to any kayakers fishing dawn or dusk around Melbourne. End of lockdown means that there are more than a usual number of moronic boaters on the water. Fished off Mordialloc at dusk and had 3 boats fly past within 15-20m from me at wide open throttle and before anyone's asks, our kayaks are fitted with the berleypro orb. Also had one boat come past with no lights at all. No decent fish to report but happy to get back to shore safely. Thinking of carrying an airhorn next time.... Or staying home till the end of lockdown madness ends.
