24.01.2022 We have 7 days to tell the WA EPA that the Texan Frackers should not be able to frack in the Kimberley. Please follow the link below and let the EPA know that fracking should be banned.

23.01.2022 The McGowan Government recently announced that vast areas of our state will be re-opened to the polluting fracking industry. But we know that opening up our state for a new fracking industry would be a shocking crime against our climate. Make a quick submission now to tell the McGowan government to rule out fracking as part of its climate change policy that’s currently being decided. https://ccwa.good.do/climatefrackfreefuture/submission/

22.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: Plans by multinational gas company Black Mountain Energy to frack our iconic and beautiful Kimberley will put the region’s lucrative tourism indu...stry, its unique environment, and locals’ way of life in danger. Black Mountain Energy also clearly doesn't understand the realities of operating in the Kimberley, having mooted an economically unviable and heavily criticised west-east gas pipeline as part of its planned operation. This company clearly wants to push their fracking agenda regardless of economic and legal realities, and WA politicians and locals should be extremely wary. Our media release: https://www.lockthegate.org.au/black_mountain_energy_s_kimb https://www.theaustralian.com.au//9a1378507ebfae7b06cfb634 Image: article in today's West. Let's stop fracking gasfields in the Kimberley, Mid West and Wheatbelt! 21.01.2022 IN THE NEWS: What do you think about a Texan fracking company trying to fast track their way into the Kimberley? We are extremely concerned that frackers have ...arrived in the Kimberley, while the overwhelming public sentiment is that fracking should not be allowed there. https://www.abc.net.au//wa-fracking-industry-frus/12517958

21.01.2022 #DontFrackTheKimberley Help us protect the precious Kimberley!

20.01.2022 Do you have a spare few minutes? Your call will really make a difference!

18.01.2022 BACK PEDDLING: The State Government looks set to change their requirement for social licence on fracking projects in WA, since the opposition to fracking is jus...t TOO STRONG in the regions. Gas companies will not be able to get social licence there. The Govt have changed their draft Stakeholder Consultation Guide from requiring social licence, to say they need to be ‘demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility.’ Hmmmm. It highlights the fact that gaining social licence will be next to impossible as more and more communities say NO to fracking gasfields in WA! Why would the Government want to allow fracking companies to operate in WA with no social licence? Help stop fracking across WA: Sign our petition: www.frackfreewa.org.au/petition Get involved: www.frackfreewa.org.au/volunteer We will keep you up to date with all the latest on the WA campaign.

17.01.2022 The WA Government has lifted the moratorium on fracking in the Kimberley, leaving most of the region at risk. Sign and share Environs Kimberley's submission to protect important ecological sites today. https://www.environskimberley.org.au/protect_kimberley

16.01.2022 Do you have a spare few minutes? Please submit a comment and help us make sure the Mid-West stays Frack Free.

16.01.2022 Kimberley people don’t want fracking and shale oil fields in this beautiful region. The risk to the regions freshwater sources is too high, and the tourism industry is at risk. The damage to the climate would be catastrophic. Yesterday students and supporters left a strong message to the McGowan Community Cabinet in Broome - No fracking! Join us and send a message to the Premier and WA government - https://www.environskimberley.org.au/ban_fracking... Photos: Damian Kelly

15.01.2022 Do you have a spare 2 minutes? Tell the EPA to review Mineral Resources proposal to clear land for gas exploration (which if found, would likely lead to fracking). Visit: https://consultation.epa.wa.gov.au//r/consultation/intro/ tick the 'Assess - Public Environmental Review' and make a short comment (more information below).

14.01.2022 Last day to have your say! This is the first fracking plan to go the EPA under the McGowan Government. We can’t leave this up to a private assessment between the EPA and the Texan Frackers. Make a comment to the EPA, it's really easy. Choose the 4th option - "Assess: Public Environmental Review".... https://consultation.epa.wa.gov.au//e/consultation/intro/ You can find out more info here: https://www.environskimberley.org.au/texan_frackers

13.01.2022 New research shows that the Kimberley region is set to experience a dramatic increase in extreme heat including up to a tenfold increase in days over 40 degrees in Broome if we don't take action on climate change like banning fracking in the Kimberley. Sign the Environs Kimberley petition to ban fracking in the Kimberley here: https://www.environskimberley.org.au/ban_fracking

13.01.2022 2 DAYS LEFT to have your say on the WA government's climate policy for a Frack Free Future! We're so close to reaching 1000 submissions. Make your voice count today. https://ccwa.good.do/climatefrackfreefuture/submission/

11.01.2022 Join us this Friday in Perth, for a socially distanced snap action to tell Premier McGowan to stop this multinational company from fracking the Kimberley! Last week, Texan fracking company Black Mountain blatantly announced plans to drill 6 new wells and frack in the Kimberley, near the Fitzroy River. This project could lead to thousands of fracking wells across the Kimberley region.

09.01.2022 The Kimberley is too precious to frack! The oil and gas industry still has its sights on the Kimberley for fracking, and the WA Government’s Department of Mines is encouraging companies that want to frack. Buru Energy is one of these companies. Join us online for this virtual protest this Thursday as we tell Buru Energy that fracking in our precious Kimberly is totally unacceptable.... #BuruEnergyDontFrackTheKimberly

08.01.2022 Thank you to these Perth community members for taking stand to tell Premier McGowan to stop multinational gas company Black Mountain from fracking the Kimberley.... 08.01.2022 If Woodside's Burrup Hub development is allowed to proceed, it could lead to a major new fracking industry in WA, with devastating consequences for groundwater and communities. Sign now to tell the EPA not to allow Woodside’s fracking projects in through the back gate. https://ccwa.good.do/woodsidefracking/burrup/

07.01.2022 Can you help Frack Free WA reach 200 messages to urge the EPA to do a PUBLIC review of this dangerous project in WA’s Mid West: https://lockthegate.good.do/emailepa/message/ 3D seismic testing of 97,000 hectares of farm land and wildflower country, thumper trucks sending vibrations through the ground, and 1000ha of vegetation being cleared. The data that would be collected will help determine where the company will drill for gas, and with fracking being allowed in this area, ...could lead to fracking gasfields. There are known shale and tight gas reserves already in this area. They’ve already done test fracks in this area (under the Barnett Gov). https://lockthegate.good.do/emailepa/message/ Urge the EPA to make sure FULL details are released to the communities in this area. Beach Energy has NOT ruled out fracking. Comments due by tonight.

04.01.2022 Scott Morrison is poised to hand billions in taxpayers' money to multinational gas companies that will wreck our water and farmland and rob us of a clean energy future.

02.01.2022 Premier McGowan don't let the Texans frack the Kimberley! Great to have support at the seat of Government today with a protest at Dumas House. SIGN the petition here and SHARE! https://www.environskimberley.org.au/ban_fracking
