18.01.2022 Usually at this time of year our office in Australia is quiet as we do our annual circuit of Florence-London-Cannes, gathering data and evaluating all upcoming launches. Even with the pandemic travel restrictions, we are finding the industry is still moving. The team has been doing a lot of Zoom calls with brands to discuss new and upcoming launches, but we still enjoy an old-fashioned face-to-face meeting. Today @clayton_ilolahia visited @louisvuitton ‘s Sydney Maison to smell Météore, Louis Vuitton’s new men’s fragrance, with LV’s resident fragrance expert and @gipgrasse graduate @georgebowler.nz . Thanks for the presentation George!

14.01.2022 I am so grateful to all of you who left messages about PERFUME LEGENDS II, and called me. Researching, writing, checking the history of fragrances is a solitary, often frustrating work. You make it all worthwhile. Thank you and thank you again - Michael Edwards. . . Perfume Legends II - 2020 Perfumed Plume Award recipient for Fragrance Book of the Year.
07.01.2022 @margekhoury and the evaluation team were in Melbourne this week meeting all the amazing fragrance retailers in the city and surrounding areas. Melbourne did it tougher than any other Australian city during the pandemic. We are returning to Sydney inspired by their passion and resilience. Thank you for your time: @peonymelbourne @libertineparfumerie ... @loreperfumery @meccacosmetica @snif_perfumery @manteaunoir @kabinett_kyneton And special thanks to our Melbourne friends @luxurystyleohyesplease from @agencedeparfum and @theperfumehunter . It was lovely to see you!
06.01.2022 France is in our thoughts as we wake up in Australia to the news of today’s tragedy in Nice. In addition to the recent lockdown measures, we know this is not an easy time for the people of France, but we are here for you.
04.01.2022 Out in the field today, our General Manager @margekhoury talks fragrance with @mapoftheheart founder Sarah Blair, one of a handful of creators putting Australia on the fragrance map.
02.01.2022 Today we remember Mariano Puig Planas who passed away this week. Sr. Puig Planas was the former president of Puig, and architect of the multinational Spanish fragrance company’s international expansion. Michael Edwards refers to his leadership as a case study of how to handle family successions. Michael and the Fragrances of the World team offer our deepest sympathy to the Puig family and company’s employees.
01.01.2022 Congratulations to our colleague @clayton_ilolahia who has been named a 2021 finalist for awards from the @fragrancefoundation and @perfumedplume for his writing. Clayton joined the Fragrances of the World team with years of experience as a fragrance blogger. This year he has three nominations for an article in @10magazineaustralia and digital stories published on his independent blog site and @cafleurebon . Michael and the team wish Clayton the best of luck for the awards. (Picture - Michael and Clayton in 2019 at one of Michael’s favourite restaurants, now also Clayton’s, Le Soufflé in Paris)
