23.01.2022 This is an open love letter to everyone who needs it, wants or feels it. The world has changed, and it feels like we can’t go back. In some ways, we really can’t. It hurts, it’s frustrating, we’re mourning the loss of our society as we knew it. We’ve lost the warmth of the people around us, the security that our jobs give us. A lot of us have lost faith in the people around us because of how easily people have turned on each other. Whether we like it or not, we’re now taking... part in a pivotal point in history, an event that may change the course of the world. And whilst we can’t control the wind we can set our sails. So I challenge you, as someone who wants the best for each and every one of you, come out of this better. You don’t have to be a brand new person and you don’t have to come out of this with chiselled abs and a PhD. But what you can do is improve just one thing. It doesn’t have to be a huge thing either or something to do with you, it might be getting that book read or it might be getting a run in. Or it could be painting that wall or changing your oil. Find one thing that needs to be fixed, changed or improved, in a world that’s breaking you have a chance to shift the scales in the smallest ways. Even if it’s as simple as making the bed when you wake up when you don’t normally or having breakfast in stead of waiting for lunch.
