22.01.2022 I have a soft spot for this exhibition as it was the first and only time I have exhibited and sold a piece! Might have to get my act into gear again for this year's event - the 30th time it has been held! Run over two days the prize draws some of the local areas finest artists, including many from the Merredin Fine Art Society. 18.01.2022 Can you believe 2018 is the 50th year since the Merredin Fine Arts Society was established? Certainly has to be one of the longest continuously established Arts groups in the West. I am sure someone will tell me it is! The group are having an exhibition in November - "Golden Brush Strokes" - to celebrate. Keep and eye out for more details to come. 12.01.2022 How cute are these diamond paintings?Consisting of tiny beads glued to a fabric backing. The owls are mounted in an existing frame and the horse in a custom frame. The artist had a hard time trying to find a square frame to match so went custom
10.01.2022 A few of the many frames that have walked out the door in the past couple of weeks. It has been slightly hectic fitting these in around work, family and social occasions. I truly appreciate the patience of all of my clients!

09.01.2022 The last few weeks have been hectic to say the least. Brad and I have been working weekends to frame some beautiful pieces for the Golden Brushstrokes 50 Year Anniversary exhibition being held this weekend in Merredin. Pieces by long term Merredin Fine Arts Society members Jo Millington, Anne Sutherland, Val Curtis, Rosemary Lambert, Gail Law and Noeleen Morley have passed through the framing room, and I am pleased to have framed some work by MFAS artists new to the exhibition scene. 05.01.2022 Hi everyone - this fantastic exhibition is coming up very fast! Just letting everyone know I am away from 25 September to 5 October then the 22 to 28 October, so a bit of a limited window if you need framing done this year!
04.01.2022 Kind of explains my last couple of weeks ..: December - each measurement is a piece of glass or a frame!
04.01.2022 The other common comment I get is "I only want a cheap frame". If you want a cheap frame, you can get one and it will probably do the job... for a while, then you have to go an buy another one. I have bought cheap frames in the past, for photos mainly. Though for artwork, especially odd shaped pieces, and multi-photo displays, a custom frame is often the only answer. [ 199 more words ] https://framingonfrench.wordpress.com//i-just-want-a-chea/
04.01.2022 One of the joys of travel is seeing the different artist takes on life and landscapes - this one took our fancy in Bali - an original by an artist called Khanie - from Vietnam. Dont know what it is about it but both Brad and I loved it instantly.
03.01.2022 A couple of aquatic themed canvases in raw oak float frames for Jacquie D from Southern Cross. The colours are exquisite.
01.01.2022 Simple yet effective - original abstract painting purchased at the Merredin Fine Art Society exhibition a couple of years ago.. finally on the wall
