16.01.2022 As an artist I believe its important to support fellow artists when and if possible, we all know the struggle is real at times , some weeks the sale of an artwork can often mean the difference between getting the bills paid on time and putting food on the table. Its only taken 20 years for me to finally be able to make a living from my art. Quite often my artists friends will post pics of new works and I just cant resist, The art I collect is very eclectic and totally... different to what I create, and when I buy artwork I think about my connection to the artist and/or the subject or style and the story the work tells. I absolutely loved creating this work as a special birthday gift for my Dyinda (sister) @susieep80 . ... After telling her Id like to gift her an original painting, Suze mentioned that she was happy for me to create whatever I wanted. One day as she was leaving Maclean, we had the most magical and fluorescent sunset which she was lucky to witness and I guess it helped cement the idea that she would want the sunset featured in the work.
