21.01.2022 The deficit snatch grip deadlift. Fuckin gross. One of the most under utilised weapons in the tool kit for any power athlete. There is no exercise like this for packing on serious size to your upper back or the speed you can shift a bar off the floor when deadlifting. Today in education myself @jes_murphy @coachconnor_ @zezinho1981 introduced this to our team and it was unreal. 15.01.2022 Broken Metabolism - Is your fire blazing or just trickling along? If fat loss is as simple as energy in vs energy out, then isn’t the solution as easy as not eating much? Not at all. ... Our bodies are amazing at adapting to whatever we do. Without going down the hunters and gatherers path too much there is still one key functions all humans bodies do the same. Survival! Our natural instinct is to survive. So to your body fat is amazing. It’s storable energy. We can store as much of it as we want. Literally unlimited storage potential. In order to use fat as energy we need to be clever with our training and nutrition. What ever your maintenance calorie target is If you’re falling extremely short of this daily training or not. It is highly likely your metabolism isn’t working the way it should be. It is quite literally surviving instead of thriving. If you’ve ever seen a campfire at 3am that is just coals and trickling along. You can throw another log on there and it will slowly catch alight, burn up and turn to coals. That is exactly what the metabolism of an under eater is doing. As opposed to someone with a healthy balance hitting as close to their daily target as they can. The problem with this especially if you’re training hard is you will be losing muscle along with anything else. It also will impact the look you will have. It’s impossible to look lean, fit and strong unless you’re ticking all the boxes of being healthy. If you under eat and then go on a diet and under eat even more you’re just screwing your metabolism up even further. A metabolic reset is a term used for helping someone get their body working correctly again by eating the right amount of food. Only by doing this can you help an under eater get their body back on track to being a fat burning machine. 13.01.2022 What ever your goal is. Get strong. If you’re a runner it will help. If you want to lose fat it will help. If you want bigger muscles it’s going to help. There aren’t fitness goals that being strong won’t assist with.
