21.01.2022 I know the weather is cooling off... but give a thought to your humble smoothie when you’re trying to up your nutrient density! This one is frozen berries, a huge handful of baby spinach, coconut water and a couple of supplements that I’m on at the moment. And it’s entirely drinkable and enjoyable! 16.01.2022 Vata biccies! I had so many messages about these wonderful little mouthfuls of goodness. Vata biccies are for balancing your Vata... one of the three doshas of Ayurveda. Vata, as I understand it, is the air element and governs your mind particularly. This amazing recipe is a favourite of mine and comes from The Mudita Institute, a place I would love to go one day! All their recipes are amazing... and you might even still be able to download their cookbook, ‘Warmth,’ when you join their mailing list. Let me know how you go with these! 06.01.2022 Oh my! Vegan Banana Bread! Where have you been all my life? 4 medium bananas 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup almond milk... 1/4 cup coconut sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups spelt flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking soda Pinch of pink salt Mix the mashed banana, coconut sugar, olive oil, vanilla extract and almond milk. Add the rest and combine, but don’t over mix. Add to a loaf tin and cook for 45mins at 180 degrees fan forced. Yum! #franceswadenaturopathy #loveyourlife #loveyourkitchen #eatwellbewell

01.01.2022 Here it is! This plant based roast was a Xmas inclusion in ‘Nourish’ mag a Christmas (or two) ago. It takes a bit of time, but I make the roast, slice it up and freeze the slices. I tend to mix and match ingredients... I use macadamias instead of chestnuts, last night I left out the miso and I used a red onion relish I make instead of the christmassy cranberry sauce. However you make it, you’ll love it! Tonight I’m doing a lamb leg for the family... and I know I have a slice of this goodness to look forward to! 01.01.2022 Ginger Oat Biccies! Yum!!! 75g Ghee 1/3 cup Coconut Sugar 2 Tablespoons Rice Malt Syrup... 1 teaspoon Bi-carb 3/4 cup Wholemeal Spelt Flour 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger 1 3/4 cups Rolled Oats 1/2 cup Dried Cranberries 1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees fan forced 2. Melt ghee, coconut sugar and rice malt syrup in a small saucepan. Add the bi-carb and set aside. 3. Combine your dry ingredients well, then add the contents of your saucepan. 4. Roll into balls and bake for around 12 minutes.
