25.01.2022 I love creating clean simple layouts that really showcase the products. Coloured backgrounds can give a real 'punchy' look which can be both striking and distinctive... I couldn't help but add a few items from this great product range that I shot & styled for @montii.co, to my little boy's school bag... Really great quality. Fran Flynn.

19.01.2022 This year I have been doing a lot of work for Amazon sellers, and Goodness and Gosh were one of my first, and it was a baptism of fire! Not only did we need to get through around 20 white background product shots, we also had a full range of propped food shots and THEN to finish the day off we had a full range of 'lifestyle' images with a large group of people. There were approx 20 people on set by the end of the day and we managed to get it all done! Most Amazon sellers aren...'t starting out on such a grand scale, but all Amazon sellers need top quality shots and great graphics to go with them. Lucky for me I've got heaps of experience with both and with almost a year of working specifically with sellers under my belt, I've learnt so much about what makes the right images that sell on Amazon also. So much so that I'm specialising in premium imagery for Amazon sellers. You can find out more here www.franflynn.com.au/amazon-sellers See more

19.01.2022 There are some days that everything just slides into place and all the myriad of elements that need to work in tandem to create grat shots just 'happen'. Then there are other days when everything goes wrong and you start to wonder if you're even capable of ever producing a good shot again! Thankfully, this shoot at Carmody's Restaurant at Southport Sharks was the former. (phew) The venue's background was great, the chef was on fire, and the lighting was on-point, first attempt. A good day all around!

19.01.2022 My live presentation on the Reliable Education Online Summit, being viewed by thousands of Amazon Sellers around the world, is coming up in a few short hours! As a special offer to coincide with The Summit we are offering a special discount for Amazon Product Photography for Reliable Education members. www.franflynn.com.au #productphotography #commercialphotography #professionalphotographer

19.01.2022 Anyone that knows me will likely be aware that I'm not really into 'diets'. If I need to lose a few kilos it's all about intense exercise, and pulling back on the daily chocoloate bars. Having said that, Slim by Nature opened my eyes to how tasty 'diet' food can be. I've always perceived diets to be a miserable process of restraint and starvation but Slim by Nature's recipes were actually delicious and I was truly blown away by some of the results I saw. In fact, one of our team decided to join the program, and her results have been remarkable. I've always been dubious of weight loss before and after shots, but these results I saw with my own eyes.

11.01.2022 Beauty products can be quite challenging to photography. Usually there are significant reflection issues to contend, and adding white as a base colour increases the complexity. In this case I selected soft toned props and botanticals to compliment the highlight colour in the product range as well as elude to the natural elements in the product, and heighten a feeling of femininity . 02.01.2022 After a full day of shooting raw meat the previous day, it was a very pleasant departure to produce beautiful recipe images from the raw product. While I'm pretty much an 'eat anything' kinda person, I don't eat vast amounts of meat, but I learnt a new appreciation for the value of quality in meat at this shoot. From the finest carpaccio to the tenderest wagyu, I tasted some of the finest meats I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying during this experience. Fran Flynn

01.01.2022 One of the most difficult things to shoot appealling photos of is raw meat. Let's face it, you're looking at a plate of dead, dismembered animal! Having said that, for the carnivores among us, fresh, well presented meat can be attractive. The biggest challenge are meats like waygu. Within seconds of htting room temperature, the fat starts to 'melt' and become transparent - losing the beautiful white tones - and the meat loses form. With other cuts, getting an angle that 'shows off' the features that define it as 'top quality' is the core challenge. In terms of styling, there isn't a lot to work with, but subtle placement of carefully curated items on appropriate background can 'make' an image (which in this case was thanks to stylist extraordinare Sarah DeNardi).
