24.01.2022 Hi all, well today is THE day. Please come down to Franklin School from 10am onward today and tomorrow and see how the school has changed over it's 40 year hist...ory. You may catch up with old school friends, past teachers and support staff and see the excellent memorabilia that the hardworking teachers have put out for display. There will be stalls, Franklin Anniversary products for display, and a slideshow through the years that can also be purchased. Come on down to Forest Street, the school is open to everyone today. 24.01.2022 The Franklin Public School 40th Anniversary meeting will be held at 6pm 2nd March 2016 in the school staff room. Please come along and have some input in to what will be happening over the long weekend in October!!

17.01.2022 Our next meeting for the Anniversary plans is Tuesday 30th August, 6.30pm at the Golfie. All welcome, feel free to share this notice. The more the merrier.

17.01.2022 The itinerary for the weekend is as follows. Saturday: Student Art Show in the Miles Franklin Hall at school, school tours by Year 6 students on the hour, Ongoing slideshow by decade (1976-1980) (1981-1990) (1991-2000) (2001-2010) (2011-2016), 40th Birthday Merchandise available at the school office, Reunion Dinner at Tumut RSL Club including music and dancing (adults only). Sunday: Gala Family Fun Day on the school oval including market stalls and a BBQ lunch, Musical aftern...oon on the oval (ex students invited to play and participate), School Choir to sing, reopening of the 1988 Time Capsule and burying new capsule. There will be plenty of photos, class roles, dux lists, Prefects and Captains lists and lots more memories to reflect on and share. If there are still friends you haven't told, please get in touch soon so they can plan ahead. Haven't seen many ex-staff names here, so if you know of any living near you or you know their contact info, there is your challenge...

12.01.2022 Ok ex students, teachers and parents. Time is running out, the Franklin 40th Anniversary is THIS WEEKEND! Tickets for the dinner are still available for purchase by bank deposit to the school. See details below. Tickets can be collected at the door on the night but for catering purposes the school NEEDS TO KNOW who is coming. Please come along, see some old friends and teachers, see how the school has changed over 40 years.

10.01.2022 OK all you Franklin family members, I would like to get you all engaged in the count-down to the celebrations. Here is a quiz...of sorts...who can name all of the very first staff members of 1976 ? Check out your photos and post names here...maybe someone could post their class / staff photo if there are some for '76. Not sure when photos actually started. I know captains weren't elected until 1978. I'll begin with Mr.Tom Ellis - Principal.

08.01.2022 I have been compiling an FPS Student Roll / List - kids who have attended FPS over the years. I can only go back 30 years and was wondering if those of you who attended during the period 1976 - 1986 could list some names & their siblings.. (maybe go through your class photos) eg. I could put Matt and Adrian Sturt down and even though I wasn't there when Lexie & Megan were, I could add their names as well. Would appreciate your help in this, so please start adding names & dates...class they were in / year. THANKS.
