24.01.2022 Today was special for two reasons. Firstly it was the 10 year anniversary of my amazing friends, and secondly it’s been 10 years since I photographed my first proper wedding! 10 years of Frankly Photography!! I find it hard to look back on old work, but today I’m just proud- of how far we’ve all come, that I’ve got to document the lives of this amazing family as it grows, and that we’re all still standing, smiling and friends! 24.01.2022 Its been an interesting few months, and although nothing has gone to plan (2020 ammi-right?) were facing all these new challenges positively Weve been taking this time to work behind the scenes on some Frankly business so we can come back better than ever! I captured E&Js wedding and then a year later the arrival of their baby boy & family photos. Recently Erin lost her grandmother suddenly and took the time to write and thank me for capturing the joy of her grandmother meeting her grandson, and how much having images of her family meant to her. 04.01.2022 March was supposed to be one of the busiest months for weddings in Australia to last until May before we go into the quieter winter period. Every wedding vendor...s would have been busy with prepping, executing and enjoying what would have been the best days of our couples lives. However, our world came crashing down every time we anxiously listened to updates after updates from Scott Morrison (ScoMo) announcing further and further bans to weddings and other events. We realised that the ban was the right thing to do but we still had no idea how we were going to get through the whole situation. Emails and phone calls from devastated couples started to come in, many were upset and even in tears. No one has ever prepared for anything like this, no one. The impact was just devastating for both wedding vendors and the couples themselves. Through every discussions we asked the couples the same important question... "Would you still like to walk down the aisle seeing your partner, all of your family and friends celebrating your love and commitment even if it takes a bit longer?" The answer has always been a resounding "yes". Yes, it is difficult, in fact it is very very difficult for some more than others but we hope that somehow... we can all get through this together and that this video can give that extra bit of encouragement during these tough times. So here it is, a message from the (bright) future. Sarah got 10 days notice, met us and viewed the venue 1 week before the wedding and did an absolutely brilliant job on the day.
