21.01.2022 How long has it been since youve changed the needle in your machine? This is a needle I removed from a machine that came in recently for repair and is a good example of one that is LONG OVERDUE to be changed. TIP: - Needles should be changed after every 8 hours of sewing to prevent damage to your fabric (pulls threads and creates holes) and your machine. ... -If your needle sounds like its punching your fabric or feels rough when you run your finger over the tip it tells you its well over due for a change. - We offer free needle guides for anyone who would like to know which size needle to use for which fabric so please come and grab yours today. We will be trading again on the 1st of November at the Clock Tower on Dick Ward Drive, just down the road. The new address will be shop 3/1 Caryota Court, next door to Family Planning. This is a reposting.. from Monsoon and Mangoes Via TribalGypsy I see so many small business pages that say theyre struggling because of the changes facebook has made regarding who sees your posts, so I thought Id write a post about how I think facebook now works.... It seems to me that a written post gets potentially seen by 3 or 4 times more people than a photo or a link and if you are sharing your own pictures or posts you might as well not bother as theyre seen by so few. The more people who comment or click "like" on your post the more facebook will allow it to appear in different newsfeeds. So the answer is, if youre reading this, click "like" or comment on anything and everything that catches your eye and help all us small businesses survive or one day youll go looking for your favourite business page only to find theyve given up because you didnt bother to like or to comment on their photos or posts. 01.01.2022 A lovely lady came in to us last week seeking help to buy a sewing machine after a very frustrating experience elsewhere. She was after a bit of good old fashioned service and advice on which machine would best suit her needs. Well, she was so thrilled with our service, she bought herself a sewing machine!
