Girl Guides Victori...a recognises that due to the challenges of the pandemic and current restrictions, the Muslim community and many of our Girl Guides may not be able to celebrate with their extended family and friends at this time. Tina’s parents are from South Sudan and they moved to Australia when she was nine years old. She is now 24 and lives in Melbourne. Guiding has been in her family since her mother joined as a young girl in Sudan, and her sister joined in Kenya. 21.01.2022 Girl Guides has free membership until the end of March. Come along and see what we do. Frankston District has units in Langwarrin, Seaford and Carrum Downs. We are also looking for adult women to volunteer with us to help empower our girls to be the best that they can be.

The team at Girl Guides Victoria are here to bring you consistent and ongoing support as they launch their new online platform ‘Guiding in your pocket,’ meaning that you can now access their amazing downloadable resources, videos, and even take part in their online meet ups from the comfort of your own home! Their Girl Guides TV (GGTV) covers a range of topics from arts, life skills like mindfulness (yes!!), outdoors and stem and it’s all run by girls, for girls! That’s a whole community of girls supporting girls! It’s easy to get lost in self comparison within this world of social media or compare yourself to your friends. I struggled with self comparison for a long time and noticed how I’d look at what everyone else was achieving, rather than focusing on staying in my lane and embracing my authentic self.
