25.01.2022 Home Video Clip #1 A reminder about the Frankston Tennis Club Protest Rally to be held this afternoon, 3.30pm Friday 3rd May 2019 at 1R Yuille St, Frankston - T...he Home of Frankston Tennis Club. The site will soon be the location of a Frankston Hospital Expansion, so come support the cause and bear witness to this proud Tennis Club's facilities before it is bulldozed. What you will see has been built through many years of fundraising and with the belief that as the biggest Tennis Club on the Mornington Peninsula, they have a responsibility in providing excellent quality tennis courts, not only for members but for all residents and visitors to the area. Their success in acheiving this was recognised in 2012 when voted the Best Club in Victoria by Tennis Victoria. It is shameful that this community minded club with a rich history and having expressed full support of the hospital expansion, does not enjoy one scrap of support by State Government in return. Apologies, a small correction. In the spirit of being fair, open and transparent we should fully acknowledge the offer of support made by the State Government if they choose to kick Bayside Gymnastics Club and the sport of gymnastics to the kerb.

24.01.2022 Get around it guys. #stayathome and play #tennisathome

23.01.2022 The Farewell to Yuille St event on the 28th March has been cancelled. Sadly, but in the interests of health and safety, the Frankston Tennis Club has decided to cancel all future club events and competitions until further notice. With the current Coronavirus pandemic, the club will be following the advice given by the Federal and State governments, Tennis Australia and Tennis Victoria and other sporting codes, to minimize unnecessary social contact, in particular large gathe...rings. We know that many members and ex-members have been looking forward to saying goodbye to a venue which has served the club for well over 50 years. However, the decision has been forced upon us. For any queries regarding this, please contact the Club President, Dawn McCormack on 0400 012 723 or the Secretary, Anne Baldwin on 0411 155 707.

19.01.2022 To everyone As of 30th April 2020 and due to the expansion of Frankston Hospital, our Club is now closed for good. We will be moving to a new site at Centenary Park with new courts and clubhouse. More details will follow in the upcoming weeks.... We would like to thank everyone: members, life members, committee members, coaches, visitors, social players, tournament and competition players, that helped make the Frankston Tennis Club great and was part of its 129 year history! More news to follow

13.01.2022 I went out to the Frankston Tennis Club this afternoon who are advocating for the funding they need to build a new facility for Frankston East Tennis Club, Bays...ide Gymnastics Club and Frankston Tennis Club at Centenary Park. With the expansion of the Frankston Hospital Frankston Tennis Club will be forced to move and at the moment they do not have the funds to build the facility they need. This will mean the end of a 128 year part our community. In addition Bayside Gymnastics have been operating from a temporary facility for a long time, meaning lots of pack up and set up, and Frankston East Tennis Club’s facilities are being decommissioned. I will continue to advocate for this project, including the requested Federal Government funding, both before and after an election if needed. I ask that the State Government also come on board to support the full project. Their support is essential to help us achieve Federal Government funding, as then a fully funded project can be achieved. These clubs don’t deserve to die and I’ll continue to fight for them all.

12.01.2022 Three years ago we started a journey at the Frankston Tennis Club to help their comittee to both re-establish their reputation and assist in the movement into a... new facility. Starting with minimal numbers and minimal tournament experience, we didnt hesitate to jump straight in. Now, on the eve of our 11th tournament and 12th Term of coaching we have established a HP program into 4 squads, a 6 day Hot Shots feeder program and a highly regarded tournament repuation. Today a free hitting session was embraced by over 30 of our own kids who are taking on the challenge of our @tennisaustralia Rankings tournament starting in the morning. Today was a proud day for our team! We can't wait to get started tomorrow. Fingers for lots of and smiling faces #frankstontennisclub #progress #movingforward #morningtonpeninsula #tennis #bettertennis #team

04.01.2022 Home Video #3 Only a few more hours until the Frankston Tennis Club Protest Rally. We hope to see many tennis members, past and present, at this important eve...nt showing their support of this longstanding community sporting club. We ask too, that members past and present of Bayside Gymnastics Club please head down to show support; not only for the much needed gymnastics facility at Centenary Park but also to show solidarity with the Tennis Clubs who have been proud supporters of Bayside's inclusion in the Centenary Park Project from the start. Hope to see you there for a 3.30pm start at Frankston Tennis Club, 1R Yuille St, Frankston.

02.01.2022 The next TA tournament is coming up at our club run by the guys at Better Tennis !

01.01.2022 Home Video Clip #2 Over the years, countless Frankston Residents have been associated with Frankston Tennis Club - as players, coaches, officials, board members..., volunteers or even as a family member of one of these. Each and every one of them would have a story or two to share about the positive contribution that their association with the Frankston Tennis Club made in their life. Especially Ron Carter, who it could easily be argued, contributed more to his club and community than he received.
