23.01.2022 AUSSIE HOOPS HOLIDAY CAMP Information: https://bit.ly/2X1QW1x Starting off the 11th of January the Aussie Hoops Holiday Camp, is a national program, and a great introduction to the game of basketball with fun games and activities to first introduce basketball skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. These camps will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for two weeks.

22.01.2022 DOMESTIC COMPETITION VENUE CHECK IN Just a quick reminder regarding Venue Check-In during FDBA Domestic Competitions. It is a requirement for all spectators and team officials to check-in when entering any FDBA venue during the current COVID restrictions. Instructions are provided via the link.

20.01.2022 SLAM DUNK HOLIDAY CAMP Information: https://bit.ly/3b14wdC Starting the 11th of January the Slam Dunk Holiday Camp will be offered all weekdays for two weeks. These camps are our most popular option where kids spend the days in groups playing games and activities to improve their basketball skills. With the Summer temperature in mind, we allow for scheduled downtime where the participants watch basketball movies.

17.01.2022 FRANKSTON BASKETBALL PRE-CHRISTMAS 2020 HOLIDAY CAMPS Wow! What an incredible two days it has been at Frankston Stadium for our Pre-Christmas Holiday Camps. With over 250 participants registered (170 for Aussie Hoops Holiday Camp and 86 for Slam Dunk Holiday Camp) it has been one of the biggest camp events we’ve ever held.

16.01.2022 FDBA NOTICE TO MEMBERS COVID SAFETY We understand that everyone is excited to resume indoor basketball competitions this week. Unfortunately, there have been a number of incidents reported by our staff, volunteers and affiliated clubs that must be addressed.

15.01.2022 This is Arthur Stone. In the late 1970s his daughter Penelope said she wanted to play basketball. Two matches into the season, the coach quit. Arthur stepped u...p to fill the spot. He took a coaching course. And a refereeing course. Since then, no team he has coached ever finished lower than runner-up. 42 years later and 85 years young, he is still a referee. He loves refereeing juniors. Men’s A&B grade less so. Today VBRA Frankston and Frankston Basketball - FDBA honored Arthur for his outstanding service to the game and community. We thought he was hanging up his whistle - but it seems he just can’t walk away, promising to come back and do a couple of games next year. Thank you Arthur for inviting me to share today’s celebration with you. It was a privilege.
