25.01.2022 A message from our Women's coach "Boomer" Our Team YES, we have a team. That’s the main question I’ve been asked and that’s the answer - Yes. We’ve been wo...rking hard, recruiting players and getting our name out there. Our numbers are excellent and we will be there in 2021. Welcome A huge welcome to all the FDJFC Youth Girls from last year who have committed to the Dolphins Senior Women’s Team for 2021. It’s great to have you. Your experience, skill and knowledge of the game are a huge bonus to have at the senior club. I watched you train a few times and your coaches have done an awesome job. Remember to thank them when you win your first AFLW B&F! Training We are all hanging out to do some physical stuff. This little fat boy needs to run! Unfortunately, the last round of de-restrictions didn’t help adult sport much. So we wait We will be up at the ground as soon as we can, but it’s more complex than you think. We need permission from council, the league and the government to restart and we have to work with the cricket club, who have priority use of the ovals. The committee are working on getting us back ASAP so stay tuned for details. However. If we can’t train at the oval, we will still train in other ways as soon as we can meet in a large group. Or two medium ones. What we will do is catch up for a few outings, along with regular training at other venues. We are planning a hike at Point Nepean Reserve, from the car park to the fort and back. That’s if it’s open to the public. If not, we find somewhere else. Its about 8 to 10 K’s and we will be having a bit of fun as we go. Anyone who is interested in playing or helping out during the year is welcome. If you don’t drive, we will get you there. Dates to come. Committed Players We want you! Volunteers We always need people to help out, in fact we can’t play without you. We welcome family, friends, retired and injured players, girlfriends, boyfriends and strangers you grab off the street. Maybe not the strangers. Anyways, if you want to help out, let us know. It’s a great way to be involved in a great club. We hope to get everyone together soon for a meet and greet. If you need anything, need some info or just want a chat, let us know. 08.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Grace van Noord is ALL IN for netball season 2021. Grace was one of our original Dolphins women’s football players in 2017-18, but couldn’t resist returning to netball when we launched in 2019. Having played state league netball in Tasmania for 3 years along with representing Tasmania before moving to Victoria, Grace was appointed co-captain of our A-Grade team in 2020. Grace plays GD/GK and is excellent at contesting the ball and reading the play and always provides a strong option down the court in attack. #ALLIN2021

03.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Abbey Goode has recommitted and is ALL IN for netball season 2021. Abbey plays GS/GA and is a very strong, confident player that dominates the goal circle and presents a strong target under post. Unfortunately, Abbey missed the second half of the 2019 season due to a knee problem, but with the benefit of a season off, will be back in full flight and we look forward to her taking the court again next season. #ALLIN2021

01.01.2022 More great news from the Pod with Brent Guerra ALL IN for 2021. Having signed Brent for the 2020 season, unfortunately we never got to see him pull on the Dolphin jumper, but we are thrilled to have him recommit for season 2021. Brent's AFL playing and coaching experience will be invaluable for our young group, having played in 2 premierships at Hawthorn and more recently playing in premiership sides at a local level at Deer Park. Brent also has an extensive coaching resume,... having held development coaching roles at both Hawthorn and Fremantle, as well as coaching at a local level and is a fantastic addition to our club, for both for our coaching department and development of our upcoming juniors. Can't wait to see Brent in the Dolphin strip on Overport Park. #ALLIN2021
