19.01.2022 We need you to take care out on our fire affected roads. Our crews are out there repairing as much as they can but with thousands of kilometres of roads impac...ted over the fire season across East Gippsland and in the north east of the state - theres still a lot of work to do. 17.01.2022 Today is an historic day for fire services in Victoria. Today we welcome Fire Rescue Victoria as our new fire and emergency service partner. And today, CFA beco...mes a proudly volunteer fire service. We are skilled, determined and here to serve Victorians now and into the future. We are from the community and for the community. We are CFA. #CFAVic #OurCommunityOurCFA

16.01.2022 Next Wednesday July the 1st 2020 is set to be a historical date for Victorias Fire Services. The State of Victoria will see an amalgamation of all Officers, Firefighters and employees of the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) and all Career Officers, Firefighters and some other paid employees of the Country Fire Authority (CFA). The new organisation will be known as Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV). All current CFA Volunteers will remain with the CFA which will revert to b...eing a volunteer fire service. Currently the Frankston Fire Brigade is an Integrated Fire Station within the CFA, this meaning the station is staffed 24/7 with a complement of a minimum of 8 on duty career firefighters, supplemented by a group of volunteer firefighters who respond to emergencies from wherever they might be when a call is received, whether that be from home, at work or out shopping. The career firefighters respond to the majority of calls the Brigade receives, whether it is to calls in the Brigades own response area, or responding to assist neighbouring brigades like Patterson River, Carrum Downs, Skye, Langwarrin, Baxter, Mt Eliza and others. FRV Fire Stations have been allocated a number to identify them and from July 1 any reference to FRV from the Frankston site will refer to "Station 91" and the Pumpers (Urban Fire Truck) will be known as "Pumper 91A & 91B". The CFA volunteers will continue to operate as the Frankston Fire Brigade and utilise the CFA appliances, the Frankston Tanker and community funded Frankston Salvage & FCV. Both Career Firefighters and CFA Volunteers will continue to serve the community from the current station located in Cranbourne Road. The Frankston Fire Brigade is proud to have a strong relationship with all our Firefighters. We all work closely and have done since the career firefighters were first posted to the Frankston Brigade back in 1958. Regardless whether we are paid or unpaid, volunteer or career, CFA or FRV, the service to the community is our highest priority and we will continue to provide the community with the service you have grown to know and rely on in your time of need. Whether that be a response to a house fire, bush fire, motor vehicle accident, hazardous materials incident or an Emergency Medical Response alongside Ambulance Victoria, the firefighters at the Frankston CFA and FRV Station 91 will be here for the community when called upon. The Frankston CFA looks forward to continuing our service as a volunteer organisation, while working along side our colleagues in the newly formed Fire Rescue Victoria. See more

11.01.2022 RECEPTION COUNTER CLOSED AT FRANKSTON Frankston Police Station has temporarily closed after a Victoria Police officer received notification they had tested posi...tive for coronavirus. While the station is closed, local area service delivery will not be impacted and a counter service is operating from the Mornington Police Station. Contact tracing is currently underway to establish how many Victoria Police officers had contact with the infected officer during the past 14 days. It is expected that several officers will go into self-isolation and be tested as a precaution as per health advice. Victoria Police will work closely with the Department of Health and Human Services in an effort to determine how the officer became infected. Enquiries are being made to determine whether any members of the public had contact with the officer while they were contagious and may need to be tested. Victoria Polices priority first and foremost is to ensure the safety of its people and the community.
