We also understand how valuable these skills are when job-seeking and entering the workforce for the first time. We're pleased to announce that applications are now open for our Term 1 Introduction to Hospitality program. The program is a gentle, hands-on learning experience for... local people looking to enter or re-enter the workforce. In this pre-accredited training program, students will gain valuable hospitality experience whilst working in a warm and welcoming community cafe environment. Students will build confidence in customer service, food preparation, recipe development, menu planning, communication skills and time management, with students completing 10 hours per week over ten weeks during the term. 09.01.2022 We are so lucky at Frankston North Community Centre to have a wonderful group of volunteers who dedicate their time to delivering programs, working in the veggie garden, cooking and serving delicious meals and who are always ready to lend a helping hand around the centre. For those interested in more ways of supporting and connecting with the local community, Frankston City Council is looking for volunteers to help deliver the Meals on Wheels program. This is an essential service that delivers nourishing meals to those in need, seven days a week. Bunarong Park in Frankston is a beautiful place to soak in the view of Port Phillip Bay, meander along the walking tracks and learn a little more about the local environment, geology and Aboriginal history. Stretching across 9.3 hectares, the park features two kilometres of walking circuits that weave their way through the eucalyptus woodlands, leading their way up to a lookout at the highest point.
