24.01.2022 Im trialling something different and I wanna know what you guys prefer Instead of doing labels Ive started doing the embroidery straight onto my bags (This process also saves me a lot of time ) I personally think this look is more simplistic but I really want to know what you guys think so pls comment below!! 08.01.2022 Im not one for big Introductions, but I thought it was about time I officially introduced myself and told a little story about how this little business came about My name is Francesca Gee (but i usually just go by Fran), Im 25 and Ive lived in Tasmania for most of my life . When Im not sewing, Im socializing with friends, driving around Tassie in my ford Econovan (Connie), and spending time with my partner @naff5 , family, and friends. In 2018 I was unemployed ...and had recently returned home from living overseas. I had no idea which direction my life was going after spending so long out of Tasmania. Then one day I woke up feeling inspired and dragged my mums old sewing machine out of storage and started having a play. I thought to myself how hard could sewing be? Keeping in mind the only sewing experience I had was from a textiles class I did in grade seven. Luckily my sister and mum had a fair bit of knowledge about sewing and watching YouTube tutorials helped to further advance my skills. Coming into 2020 It has been 2 years of perfecting my tote bags and Im pretty chuffed at how far I have come Its not always easy finding the motivation to sew while also working full time, but all the support from friends and family and the awesome feedback Ive received makes it all worth it in the end. Having attended two Niche Markets last year and my bags being stocked in stores, to me that is a huge achievement in itself. I feel that I have definitely grown as a person over this whole experience. I have had my ups and downs along the way, but there is nothing I would change and Im super excited for what else is to come for @fransbags @ Launceston, Tasmania
