25.01.2022 We are getting excited about welcoming guests back here to Fraser Beachfront Holidays. Under the current proposed Qld Government Roadmap to easing Queensland's restrictions the island will be open to camping and holidays from Saturday June 13. (technically 11.59pm June 12) We will have everything ready and prepared to welcome you back to Fraser Island. ... We will be providing handwash at the houses and areas outside and looking to ensure all protocol is in place to protect our guests. 18.01.2022 Lyndon and Carol chose Fraser Beachfront Holidays to stay for their first visit to Fraser Island. Yesterday was Lyndons birthday and they enjoyed the day at Champagne Pools and driving the beaches. They've also been enjoying fresh fish for dinner with Lyndon getting on to some nice bream out front. ... Today they are looking to enjoy a scenic flight over Fraser. 17.01.2022 Charlene and all the family have joined us here at Fraser Beachfront Holidays this week. We are so pleased to have them staying with us. The family have been instrumental in keeping Fraser Island pristine through their tireless hard work running the annual Fraser Island Clean Up. Last year they organised the removal of over 7000kg of waste from the island through the combined efforts of 754 volunteers, having cleaned up 125kms of beach here on Fraser. ... 12.01.2022 It's been fantastic to welcome Tony and their group as our first guests back to Fraser Beachfront Holidays. This is their 7th year back staying with us on Fraser Island and it wasn't long before they celebrated with a beer. 11.01.2022 We were so pleased to have John and Kerry stay last week with their son Grant, his wife Kim and their 3 children. They have been staying on the island for years but this was the first time with us at Fraser Beachfront Holidays and they loved it. In fact, they've already booked in again for next year they enjoyed it so much. ... They told us the house was great to stay in plus they loved the views from their balcony. Humpback Whales would swim by and they had clear view of everything. John and Grant had a great time fishing and caught plenty of fish too. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. 10.01.2022 We still have one week left available for this month here at Fraser Beachfront Holidays. The Pole Lodge is available from Friday 26th June to Friday 3rd of July. The Pole Lodge is our House over 2 levels with a huge verandah and sweeping ocean views. ... All up it sleeps 12 with 8 people on the upper level and 4 below. Humpback Whales have begun their migration north past us and you will have the perfect view. The fishing has been fantastic recently and with the island still so quiet there will never be a better time to be on Fraser Island. 10.01.2022 Exciting news today with the Queensland Premier announcing the opening of Fraser Island along with Moreton and Straddie for day visitors. The Premier also announced the island will be fully open for the June School Holidays. As frustrating as it is that it's only for day trips right now it's a great sign that the day it is open to camping and holidays is so much closer. ... We will look to keep everyone up to date with news as we here more over the coming weeks. We have been working on the houses during our time and getting lots of jobs done as we excitedly await the re-opening of Fraser Beachfront Holidays. We will ensure hand cleaning options are available around the houses and as we always do anyway, ensure all surfaces are completely cleaned and wiped down before guests arrive. 09.01.2022 It's only a few days now before we welcome our first guests in 3 months. Even though no one has been here to stay we are cleaning and washing everything to ensure it's all fresh and clean for our guests. All the linen has been washed again and replaced, we have washed up all the cutlery and crockery, floors will be spotless and every surface wiped clean. ... We have some Covid safe practices we have put in place too. Even our parking sign got a little update, a Nikko pen did the trick We even had time to watch some Humpbacks having a "Whale" of a time this afternoon right out front. 08.01.2022 Last week we had Keith and all his family back at Fraser Beachfront Holidays. Keith has been holidaying here with us for 30 years. He stays here 6-7 times a year with family or different groups throughout July to October. Keith said its always great staying here with us as everything is always clean, the location is perfect and they are always looked after. ... We always enjoy having Keith and his family stay too. See you soon when you get back.

07.01.2022 These photos were taken this morning from the balcony of the Lodge by my sister. She is trying to make me insanely jealous that I can't be up there - being stuck here in the naughty state of Victoria. The weather is perfect and the whales are numerous, according to her "on the spot" reporting. Fraser Beachfront Holidays would like to welcome all of our guests who are lucky enough to be up there too.

06.01.2022 Dave and his family just enjoyed an incredible week here on Fraser Island. Perfect weather meant they got to experience the very best of Fraser. They travelled up and enjoyed a day around Indian Head and Champagne Pools as well as a day at Lake McKenzie and Central Station. All easily accessible from us here at Poyungan Rocks. Dave, his Dad and son also got on to 10 Jew in one session during the week and caught plenty of Whiting, Dart, Bream and Bruin as well. ... They have been coming to Fraser Island for many years and always stay with us at Fraser Beachfront Holidays. Its been great having them stay again and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

03.01.2022 Keith is back this week with his group of men and they have had a great week fishing. Late in the afternoon they have been catching good numbers of big dart, some going 40cm plus. As it goes dark they switch to chasing bigger fish and have landed some very nice Tailor up to 59cm, the one in the photo is 55cm. ... They have landed several Jew, a couple tantalisingly close to legal at 73cm but just falling short. But Keith got this one at 82cm which was a keeper. They also got a black tip reef shark. Great fishing by the guys using a mixture of baits and lures including pippies, pilchards and fresh fillet baits. Our caretakers have also caught some Tailor, they aren't in big numbers but there are a few about.
