25.01.2022 TRAVEL UPDATE: Fraser Island is open for day visitors travelling within 150kms from Saturday 16th May. Police will be enforcing adherence to the QLD Stage 1 travel restrictions (eg. no camping until 13th June!) and QPWS will have more info regarding permits during this time. Barge services to Fraser Island are currently running on a limited schedule, please call 1800 BARGES for current updates. Kingfisher Bay Resort will be open for day guests from Friday 22nd May and ...the village store will be open on-demand until the resort fully re-opens on Friday 19th June. Likewise, the village store at Eurong Beach Resort will be available on-demand until the 19th June when all accommodation & services are re-opened for the school holidays!

25.01.2022 We are currently experiencing extremely high call volumes at our call centre. Our team are prioritising requests for travel THIS WEEKEND and we will respond to all requests as soon as we can. In the meantime, here are the latest updates to ferry times: FROM JUNE 19th-30th: Departing River Heads: 06:45, 09:00, 12:30, 15:00... Departing Kingfisher Bay Resort: 7:50, 10:30, 14:00, 17:00 From July 1st, the 15:00 service will revert back to 15:30 (as it has been prior to this travel update) PLEASE NOTE: The Fraser Venture Wanggoolba Creek service has temporarily ceased for the short term, however will resume operation IF demand increases. We will update our service listings once barge times are confirmed. All barge times are subject to change and there will be further updates based on demand.

From July 1st, the 15:00 service will revert back to 15:30 (as it has been prior to this travel update) PLEASE NOTE: The Fraser Venture Wanggoolba Creek service has temporarily ceased for the short term, however will resume operation as demand increases over the coming weeks and as school holidays commence. We will update our service listings once barge times are confirmed. 22.01.2022 UPDATE: Over the next week, in addition to the Kingfisher Bay Barge service, the Fraser Venture barge will be crossing at the following times 8:30am and 9:30am to Kingfisher Bay Resort (everyday until Thursday 27th August) 10:45am to Kingfisher Bay Resort (Friday 21st August only)... 1:30pm from Wanggoolba Creek (Friday 21st August only) 15:00pm to Kingfisher Bay Resort (20th and 21st August only) 16:30pm from Kingfisher Bay Resort (20th - 26th August) All barge times are subject to change and are dependent on tides, so we encourage all travellers to confirm the ferry schedule prior to arrival. 05.01.2022 We’d like to reassure travellers that both Kingfisher Bay Resort and Eurong Beach Resort remain open and are safe to visit. There is a bushfire at the northern end of Fraser Island, currently affecting access to some of the camping sites. However, this fire is being closely monitored by Queensland Parks & Wildlife Services and is a safe distance from both resort properties and the island’s iconic attractions. All campers should check the Parks updates before travelling to Fr...aser Island, but the fire currently poses no threat to either resort and all guest experiences are running as normal. 01.01.2022 TICKET HUT UPDATE: The Ticket Hut office will operate 7 days a week to provide services to barge, tours and resort guests. Located at the River Heads Boat Ramp, open hours are daily from 06:30am - 13:00pm and 13:45am - 16:00pm, closed on Christmas Day.... River Heads Mainland Reception will open from 08:00am- 16:00pm
