22.01.2022 Nearly 12 months ago, Frasers Property Australia opened the doors to Burwood Brickworks Shopping in Victoria a shopping centre that is positioned to be the most sustainable in the world. The biophilic design and sustainable architecture of the centre are world class, and were years in the making, making it all the more satisfying that Burwood Brickworks achieved an award trifecta at last night’s National Sustainability Awards. With a number of accolades already received, th...is latest recognition includes Best Commercial Architecture (Large), Best Commercial Architecture (Small) for Acre Burwood, and overall Best of the Best, awarded to Frasers Property Australia, NH Architecture and Zwei Interiors Architecture. We’re immensely proud of our team and project partners, without whom these incredible achievements would not have been possible. The centre is vying to achieve Living Building Challenge certification, the most rigorous sustainability standard in the built environment in the world, administered by the Living Future Institute. Globally, just 24 buildings have achieved full LBC certification, and aside from Burwood Brickworks, no other retail project in the world has aspired to do so. 18.01.2022 Globally, 40.3 million people are estimated to be trapped in modern slavery. We won’t stand for it: not in our operations, or those of our consultants, project partners or suppliers. It means having a robust plan and the willingness to dive to the deepest layers of our supply chains. Our Modern Slavery Statement is here. It’s how we identify, manage and mitigate the specific risks of modern slavery. It’s a result of Frasers Property Australia, Frasers Property Industrial and ...FLT Australia Trust working together to identify risks within our collective supply chain in Australia, and devise ways to reduce these. We’re committed to diving deeper, in collaboration with the organisations we work with, through complex, diverse and sometimes cross-border supply chains, to uncover any unknown risks of modern slavery. We have a Corrective Action Plan should we identify a risk, we collaborate openly with our supply chain, and we work with the Property Council of Australia, industry peers, and other organisations to share our learnings. Right now, it’s 40.3 million people too many. We all have a part to play. Our Modern Slavery Statement is embedded in our sustainability strategy, A Different Way. _ https://issuu.com//frasers_property_modern_slavery_stateme

18.01.2022 With the acceptance of working from home becoming a new norm, will our current style of properties meet our needs or do we need to change the way are homes are designed? Nicholle Sparkes, General Manager Delivery & Operations at Frasers Property Australia says: "Where is home, what is home, where people choose to live does not have to be defined so much by where they work now, whilst people will no doubt work from home more into the future, they will also need proximity to offices and worksites for at least a few days every week." Nicholle joined Chris Gray on Friday for Gray’s Property Anatomy, to discuss all things property development, health and safety and construction during COVID-19. 16.01.2022 We’ve worked hard to be the market leader in sustainability and today’s GRESB rankings are a fitting reward. Frasers Property Australia is delighted to be recognised by GRESB as the Global Development Sector Leader Residential and the Global Non-listed Sector Leader Diversified Office/Industrial, in combination with Frasers Property Industrial. We scored 96 (peer average 79) and 89 (peer average 76) in these respective categories, which is a testament to the team. It is t...he ninth consecutive year Frasers Property Australia has competed with a growing international field of real estate companies in these categories and the second year it has won Global Leadership categories. GRESB restructured its reporting in 2020 establishing a new baseline for measuring performance. The split between management and performance components brings a stronger focus on consistent data collection and reporting. When it comes to creating a more sustainable built environment, as learning and technology improves, it’s important to keep raising the bar to ensure continuous improvement, so we applaud GRESB’s rigour. _ https://frasersproperty.com.au//frasers-property-australia

12.01.2022 An interchangeable outdoor artwork that sends greetings on a grand scale to patrons of @edsquaretowncentre and @ed.squarecommunity was officially switched on last week. The first of three public art initiatives, ‘Greetings’ is a grand scale, interactive installation on the façade of the Event Cinemas box. The artwork by renowned artist and designer, James Dive of @scoundrel_films_project’s, features three different greetings which will welcome visitors depending on time of da...y. James says the work had to respond to the location as well as the new community. It’s a new community so I really wanted to tap into that energy. I wanted this artwork to be a welcomed part of your day. It’s unapologetically cheerful. Even in the rain, it remains steadfast. The work is in constant motion, the typography can alter colour, it projects and reflects light. My hope is it is as dynamic as the community it now resides within. _ #frasersproperty #edsquare

08.01.2022 73% of global consumers say they would change their consumption habits to reduce their impact on the environment. So what role does Carbon Neutral Certification have when influencing customers purchase decisions? Our General Manager Brand & Customer, Emily Wood, took to the virtual stage recently to discuss just this with panellists Ben Cole, Brad Krauskopf, Keith Tulloch and moderator Polly Hemming at the Carbon Market Institute (CMI) AER Summit 2020. So how do you successfu...lly market a carbon neutral product especially one that’s a high value purchase decision, like a home? Emily says it’s all about taking customers on the journey and keeping it local. What we’ve seen at @fraserspropertyaus's @minnippiquarter community with the launch of Build Neutral homes, is that the upfront conversations are the most important. People who resonate with our product share the same values and are building for the future, and the power is in their hands with tangible build of their home. Through the Build Neutral initiative, we’re keeping our support local, by purchasing offsets in projects local to Queensland the Boobera Human-Induced Regeneration Project, and supporting local farmers to create alternative revenue streams, which is incredibly important to our customers. _ #frasersproperty #buildneutral
