23.01.2022 In line with our cruelty-free interior design credo, we are hosting a Nup the Cup Fundraiser Lunch at Bodhi Restaurant Sydney on November 6 this year. It gives everyone condemning animal exploitation the opportunity to have a ball without supporting a cruel industry. Proceeds will go to sanctuaries with ex-racehorses, instead of sweeps there will be a raffle with great prizes to win (including a 2h consultation of yours truly), instead of watching the race there will be speeches and it will all be topped up with delicious cruelty-free food and a friendly atmosphere. 23.01.2022 Our latest Book Shelf sold generated another donation to the World Literacy Foundation. They just told us that this donation is being used to fund the Learn to Read Programme in Manizales, Colombia to help children and families from a very poor background and low levels of reading and writing skills. The engagement of families is vital if we are to help these children discover a love and habit of reading and we are happy to be able to help! They are now seeking financial support for a new literacy initiative in El Salvador in partnership with a local Foundation called Funpress. 10.01.2022 This new year of 2015 is just kicking off and we have already had many enquiries from residential and commercial clients that seem to have made a new interior design of their house or office their New Years resolution. We therefore feel that The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo is an appropriate subject to start off the year and our newly created blog. As an interior designer and feng shui consultant, I embrace nothing more than eliminating clutter. The Life ...Changing Magic of Tidying Up has sparked a lot of interest lately so I picked it up to read what I thought to be yet another book on organizing and eliminating clutter. While there are many books on the subject out there, I found the authors introduction of Shintoism into her method and the Japanese way of framing a relationship with our possessions very interesting. The KonMari approach is graceful as it focuses on giving respect to everything we own and instructs us to not focus on what to discard but to focus on what we want to keep in order to be surrounded only by things we love. She highlights that what matters is the lesson an object taught you while you owned it and that you do not have to hang on to it forever just because. I like that a lot! 10.01.2022 Two thirds of the fit out of this young and progressive mortgage broker company in the Sydney CBD are now finished and we are happy to present some highlights. This was not to be a standard office fit out and allowed us to get creative and take risks. The concept evolved from the desire for a funky office space that breaks the standard mould of the corporate workspace. Based on a residential home theme mixed with urban and seaside outdoor sceneries, the design embraces a clever balance of fun and functionality. Different atmospheres are created through textured and themed furnishings, lighting and key feature pieces in each different space and a gentle continuity from one area to the other contributes to the success of this fit out. #australiancreditandfinance #officefitout #interiordesign

As of last year, Frau Haus Design is a fully cruelty free interior design consultancy and we are glad to see that the Hilton has jumped onboard a very important movement away from products produced through others pain and torture such as leather, down, wool and fur.
