25.01.2022 Hey ballers, we are always about promoting businesses or ventures that our players or anyone within the league are a part of. Be sure to give these guys a follow and bring back that 90's nostalgia with the trading cards fever. Fredcom Basketball would like to wish Capital Card Breakers all the very best and good on them for giving this a go.

22.01.2022 Hello to everyone out there! Hope that you're all keeping safe and that your family, friends and loved ones are all doing well. It's been a long while since we posted any updates or been active on social media and as we all know there's a good reason for this. As the ACT Government released the guidelines for what we can and what we can't do, Fredcom Basketball cannot move further until we reach Level C clearance. There's some hope that we can go ahead in July but once a...gain until the Government gives the all-clear then we're at their mercy. Once we've got the green light then rest assured we'll be going full steam ahead with what we've missed out on. Until then stay safe and remember to abide by the social distancing rules and look after yourselves. Below are pictures of the Deck Owls and Boom Shaka Laka championship uniforms and what most of our committee have been doing (online gaming).

20.01.2022 End of season RSVP and tickets are now available! See event information for more. We look forward to celebrating with all of you Get in quick!

19.01.2022 Fredcom Basketball has always supported the people involved with the league, including those that have their own businesses. Defending champions Deck Owls have a great player who recently gave his time for a good cause. Dan Cusack who runs Revive Landscapes & Living Walls participated in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2020 and managed to raise over $7000. You can still donate here at https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fundrais/dancusack/canberra. Big congratulations to Dan for being the man for such a feat and for the third year straight in participating. Also be sure to hit Dan up if you're looking to "revive" your garden and give it some life.

13.01.2022 As restrictions have eased around the A.C.T. and we slowly return to normality, Fredcom Basketball cannot start the season until our venues allow us to return. This means that until further notice, the season is on hiatus. We hopefully can resume in October but this once again will be up to CGS and other venues. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Be safe and look after yourselves and each other.

09.01.2022 Forgive us for the potato quality video but just a short video recapping the season past. Once again, thank you for your involvement and participation in this league. It wouldn't have been possible without you all.

08.01.2022 Today has been a very big day for Fredcom Basketball. First off, we announced a joint partnership with the Canberra Players League for the Hardy Vargas Cup. Followed by two new crowned champions in the A and B League. Not to mention making history as Rhiannah McIntyre made her debut in the B League for Ring Stingers. All these moments were captured with thanks to our wonderful photographer JNT Photography. Cannons vs Boom Shaka Laka was down to the wire and it was a close... game up until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter with some key buckets coming from Finals MVP Vlado Taseski who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Cannons once again felt the clamps from Boom Shaka Laka's defence and key contributor Daniel Morallos was able to only score 10 points. Boom Shaka Laka is now your B League Champions for the 2019/2020 season. For Deck Owls, it was a case of redemption as they made up for last season's grand finals loss. Braves would do their best to get off to a good start with Jason Pye (17 points) letting it fly from the three-point range. However, the usual suspects of ArisTon Sillana (24 points) and Justin Mesman (18 points and 13 rebounds) were just too much as the Deck Owls would win 64-45. Ariston was crowned finals MVP and Deck Owls are now the proud owners of the Jonathon Miller Cup and the champions of A League. We now are on break and there'll be preseason games for some teams. Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful ride as we couldn't have done it without you.

08.01.2022 Hello to everyone that's been a part of Fredcom Basketball. It's been quite some time since we've been active and unfortunately, it might stay this way moving forward as due to circumstances out of our control. We will not be resuming Fredcom Basketball Season 3 until next year possibly. This is pending COVID-19 and the use of basketball venues around Canberra. More than anything we would like to get back into it, but we're living in different times and everyone's health and safety come first. For now, look after yourselves and of each other. We hope to see you in the coming year.
