25.01.2022 One of the many benefits that come from photographing sports is not only the action of the events themselves but the multitude of wonderful people I’ve had the privilege to meet as a result. Kai Sakakibara and his family are a true testament to that fact and that is why so many of us are feeling for Kai and his family as Kai now battles to recover following a terrible racing accident at last weekend’s round 3 BMX World Cup held at Bathurst. I know the entire BMX community has... been taken aback by the incident and the long road that now lies ahead for Kai however I am confident that all of us that know Kai and his family will band together to provide the support they need to help him get back to where he wants to be, enjoying the love of his family and friends. You would be hard pressed to find a more determined and committed individual. Stay strong Kai, you’ve got this. #KaiFight77

18.01.2022 For those of you that have contacted me directly, thank you. A message a short time ago has prompted this post as it has been quite some time since I have published any images. I was really hoping some aspects of what's been going on behind the scenes would have passed well before now that has led to my absence from any meaningful activity on social media, and in particular this page, over the past few weeks. Although I do intend to continue publishing images from last month'...s BMX NSW State Championships unfortaunetly I am not able to say right now as to when that will be as I have had to deal to some personal and health issues over the past few weeks which I am still addressing. As always your ongoing support is something I am extremeley grateful for and I am looking forward to being in a state where I can return my attention to something that I love.

17.01.2022 Waking this morning and reading through all your replies and messages to my previous post has been truly overwhelming. I am touched and humbled by your genuine concerns and offers of support. As much as I would love to respond to your comments individually and personally I shan't but please rest assured that thankfully I'm at a stage where I have the presence of mind to not only realise I have friends and familly I can call upon but also that I'm not too proud to accept the help being offered. Much love to you all.

13.01.2022 ********** NOTICE ********** After what has proven to be a challenging few months I wish to advise that my current circumstances have led to me needing to take extended leave during which I will be overseas whilst the early rounds of the 2020 BMX NSW State Series are taking place. I have been in communication with BMX NSW and the respective host clubs to advise them of my unavailability prior to the San Remo Open in April 2020. ... It’s hard to imagine not being in and around the BMX fraternity for another 4 months so I’m very much looking forward to being back trackside as soon as possible. In the meantime, I will continue to look on with great interest and am particularly excited to see Australia hosting the first 2 World Cup rounds as our elite athletes look to move closer to qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year and look forward to seeing many familiar faces trackside in 2020.
