22.01.2022 Our NSW HVAC team have been working on the Mechanical Systems at the new, 14 level Central Acute Services Building on the Westmead Redevelopment project. We're thrilled that the new state of the art building reached practical completion three months ahead of schedule and is now ready to serve the communities within the Greater Western Sydney region. 19.01.2022 Congratulations to Allstaff Airconditioning, who reached a milestone last week, celebrating 45 years The company was formed by a group of employees, after Frigrite Airconditioning withdrew from the installation side of their business. The group of employees negotiated an agreement to complete all outstanding projects and Allstaff Airconditioning was incorporated in December 1974. The company began bidding for contracts in its own right after renting a premises in Moorabbin,... later purchasing land and building their office in Dingley Village that is still occupied by Allstaff today. Since then, Allstaff expanded in to NSW and ACT, with ownership changing hands a few times before being acquired by the Fredon Group in 2019. Congratulations to everyone at Allstaff, past and present, on this achievement.
16.01.2022 "We are living through what would be the most difficult period that any of us have encountered in our lifetimes. As is so often the case, crises bring out the best and worst in people. We are fortunate in our society that most Australians are displaying fantastic behaviour and taking great care of one another and working very hard to achieve optimal outcomes in the face of extraordinary suffering for so many people. I want to thank all Fredon people for your efforts to date.... First and foremost, stay safe and healthy. There are well published safety regimes to follow and please strictly observe EVERYTHING. Near enough is not good enough and given the incredible ability of the COVID-19 virus to spread, it will take very little in any safety non-observance to not only endanger your health, but also the well-being of your family, friends and fellow workers. We are one of the few sectors in the economy that has the privilege of being allowed to work and earn an income at the present time. Hopefully circumstances will allow this to continue, but whatever is thrown at us we will do everything to ensure that we will be operating in the future when this threat passes as it surely will." -Fredon Group Chairman, Alan Lipman #socialdistancing
14.01.2022 We're pleased to announce that a Fredon HVAC project has been selected as a finalist in the ARBS Exhibition Project Excellence Awards 2020! Fredon HVAC NSW was appointed to design, construct and commission the mechanical solutions for the base building at 177 Pacific Highway St Leonards, a 31-storey commercial building constructed by CPB Contractors. 177 Pacific Highway demonstrates it is possible for a building of any size to have an economical and eco-friendly HVAC without ...using traditional green power, chilled beams and cogen solutions, and achieved a 5.5-Star NABER rating and a 5-Star Green Energy Rating. Congratulations to the team involved in delivering the project, and good luck for the ARBS Exhibition Industry Awards Gala in May. 13.01.2022 When our project manager Kevin Pleace heard that the Multiplex New Maitland Hospital project team were organising a collection for Murrurundi, he was keen to get Fredon involved. The town of Murrurundi, in the Upper Hunter Shire, has had Level 6 water restrictions since July 2018 and ran out of water earlier this year. Water is trucked in daily. After just three days, Kevin presented our collection of food, water, toys and essential supplies to Multiplex at the New Maitland H...ospital site and Farmers Friends. The goods were taken to the Murrurundi Food Pantry, who then distribute the items to drought stricken farmers. Thank you to Multiplex for organising the food drive, and thank you to everyone who made generous donations in support of the Murrurundi farmers and community.

06.01.2022 There is more to say after "Are you OK?" R U OK Day might be over for 2020, but the conversation doesn't end there. Some of the things you can do to check in with someone after you've asked "Are you OK?"... Remember to check in a few days later to see how they are doing Ask if they've found a better way to manage the situation If they haven't done anything, keep encouraging them and remind them you are always there for a chat Understand that sometimes it can take a long time for someone to be ready to see a professional For more tips on conversation starters, visit R U OK? https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask Thank you to the Fredon teams who held #RUOKDay and MATES in Construction #FlytheFlag2020 events to raise awareness of mental health. If you weren't able to participate, it is still important to check in on your own mental health and the people around you. If you or someone you know is not ok, reach out for support here: https://www.ruok.org.au/findhelp

02.01.2022 In the lead up to ANZAC Day, we connected with the our service veterans at Fredon to reflect on their experiences. Tim Walk, Fredon's Infrastructure HSEQ Advisor and recognised Royal Australian Airforce Indigenous Veteran, has generously shared his poem on his meaning of ANZAC Day Tim served with the RAAF from 1981 until 1997 and has been awarded the Australian Defence Force Medal for his 16 years of service with RAAF.... We thank Tim for his dedication to serve for our country and for allowing us to share his poem. #ANZACday #Lestweforget ... ANZAC Day What does ANZAC mean to you what does it mean to me, Tens of Thousands served for you so you could stand here free, On Battle Fields, in Ocean Blue and high up in the Sky, These boys and girls so young and brave fought hard and often died, We have a day to honour them on April Twenty Five, We show respect for their brave deeds, give thanks that we survive, With medals worn and heavy heart the Diggers start their march, In uniforms so neatly pressed and ironed firm with starch. A drummer’s beat will keep the time as more fall into line, To snake their way in steady pace to gather at the shrine, Where bugle plays a somber note as Last Post greets the dawn, With thousands standing, heads all bowed and faces so forlorn, The Bugle springs to life again as Reveille is played, To raise the Spirits from the dead and prepare for another day, With Soldier’s Spirits on the breeze as Sun Rays start to shine, The goose bumps tingle on my skin and then start to decline, On folks with medals pinned on chests the glistening begins, As Medals glow in Sunlit haze the Spirits dance within, Heads once bowed now lift up high, their hearts are filled with pride, In honour of all those who served, especially those who died. For age it shall not weary them nor will the years condemn, At Sunset and again at Dawn we shall remember them, We shall always honour them and show our true respect, With heart felt praise for those who served for us Lest We Forget -By Tim Walk, 24/04/2020
