Big thanks to all of our valued suppliers and our always keen Entertainment Director Dave Garnham, our sound and tech man Dan from Gigtek and all of our entrants who made our day such a success! 09.01.2022 Freds Pass is looking to a brilliant show in 2021 and working through our safety plan.
08.01.2022 Gerry Wood's rustic stall has been a landmark of Freds Pass Rural Show for many years. Every year, rain or shine, Gerry would be there setting up his 'custom-built' stall using wood, tin and whatever else he could get his hands on to fix it all together Some may have wondered what the cartoon chickens had to do with politics but rural folk know Gerry's roots were as a chook farmer. His rubber chickens and giveaway flags, balloons and stubby holders were always a favour...ite for show goers Gerry has always been a generous supporter of the show, sponsoring several Show Hall categories including the Cake Baked by a Man category. The Freds Pass Rural Show Committee thanks Gerry for his passion and contribution to the Show as the Member for Nelson and wishes him well in his retirement. See more

07.01.2022 You may have seen him practicing his performances on street corners in Darwin City, or perhaps you've seen his strange nature/rubbish artworks on roadsides from Casuarina to the Arnhem Highway. There's no doubt Trevor Jenkins is a true character of the Top End and also a previous entrant of the Music Talent Quest. He's taken previous advice on board and his original performance was quirky, conveyed a message and surprisingly catchy. He also stayed on stage, supplied his o...wn backing tape (of himself) and stayed within the 4 minute limit which all earned him 3rd place in our Open Category. Take a listen and we are sure you will agree we saw the best of Trevor at our Music Talent Quest. Thanks to @Litchfield Council for sponsoring this fantastic event!
