23.01.2022 Sensory exploration in kindy today. The children used measuring cups to pour rice into cupcake pans to make playdough muffins. We discussed the ingredients for muffins and used our imagination to role play cooking. We manipulated the dough to be covered in rice like ‘seeded bread’ the children said.

19.01.2022 Todays milestone staff member celebrated their 14th year with Free Range kids... It was in fact Mrs Abbott! On behalf of all the staff, families and community that know Miss Tracey we would like to send our biggest Congratulations and gratitude for being the Educator, Friend, Boss and Director that you are. 18.01.2022 We are seeking a passionate, experienced Early Education Kindergarten Teacher to join our fabulous team in a beautiful small town of Laidley Lockyer Valley! The successful applicant must hold or be further then 50% completed their Early Childhood Teacher qualification (Bachelor, Master of Teaching, bachelor equivalent) recognised by ACECQA. Their role will be to produce and implement a high-quality school readiness program with a focus on learning through play and sustainability. The position is for 2 days a week,15 hours. 15.01.2022 Its Christmas Eve and the children had their centre Christmas lunch celebrations where they enjoyed a yummy roast turkey with roast vegetables and gravy! We then had some fun with the Christmas bon bons We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and we can't wait to hear about it when the centre opens again next week

14.01.2022 Happy hump day!! We are very thankful for our small community and everyone's generous donation and support for all of our fund-raisers we do here at Free range. We are super excited to share that over $500 was raised for 'loud shirt day' for the Hear and Say foundation with the conclusion of the Paroz shirt auction going to a lovely local Chris Wilson! We are super proud of the efforts from the staff community and parents who bid, shared and donated, and we are grateful for the ability to handover this much needed money! Every cent helps and you helped us reach beyond our target! THANK YOU

11.01.2022 From the Kindy Room.This week was NAIDOC week. We explored different aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s culture. We had noticed in dancing videos that they had emu feathers in their clothes or were used as props. Lots of fun in the Kindy Room.
