22.01.2022 Do you believe we create our own future, that our intention and focus drives how our practice develops? I do. Whatever our beliefs, there can be no doubt that our intent and focus can have an enormous impact on our practice. ... What do we mean though, when we say focus and intention? Being in private practice can often mean we are a bit aimless. We open our doors, put out a bit of marketing, and sit back and wait for our clients to materialise. We can have a bit of entitlement going on within us that tells us we are special because we’ve got this or that skill or qualification, and the clients should be coming to us as a matter of course. I am very deliberate when I talk about focus and intention. When I use the words ‘focus and intent,’ I’m really referring to discipline and direction; a clear understanding of what you want to do, where you want to go, and the clientele you want to attract. It’s about doing the next right thing in your practice and committing to doing whatever is needed in order to get the results you want. When we are focused, we are driving intent through actions. Intention and following through is critical. Having a heart based intention without a head based follow through just means you have a dream. But when the heart and head align, you have the most amazing potential to succeed. www.facebook.com/groups/privatepracticesupport www.coachingwithintegrity.com.au

I don’t know what your learning will be, but here’s what mine was in the 4th year of my practice, right around the time I decided to go full time....Continue reading
