24.01.2022 I truly have THE BEST clients ever! A lovely way to finish the afternoon - with dress ups, funny voices and sports tape galore! Turns out physio is even more fun in costume!

24.01.2022 Woohoo!Happy 1st Birthday to Freedom Physiotherapy! The past year has flown! Thank you to the Castlemaine community (and beyond) for embracing this little business of mine, and Pelvic Health and Continence physiotherapy generally. Thank you to all the wonderful health care providers (GPs, midwives, allied health) who have referred their patients - it is great to know that word is spreading regarding how to care for and prevent pelvic health problems! Thank you to all the fabulous clients I have seen in the past year - here’s to meeting and smashing our goals and not letting pelvic health issues hold us back! Lastly, thank you Ryan Gosling - I do my best (and we all know there is much more to Pelvic Health physio than pelvic floor muscle exercises!)

24.01.2022 Freedom Physiotherapy proudly supports our First Nations People, and stands in solidarity, supporting NAIDOC week - ‘Always was, always will be’ xxx

22.01.2022 These truly are strange and difficult times we are all living through. My clients with upcoming appointments will have all received an SMS asking them to reschedule if they have returned from recent overseas travel or had contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID 19. Just to be sure, I have also asked that clients with cold or flu-like symptoms without associated travel or COVID 19 contact reschedule until fully recovered. In addition to this I am requesting all cl...ients use the provided hand sanitizer and gloves, as I will be doing. Frequently touched surfaces (bed, door handles, taps etc) are also being cleaned in between each client appointment. With these measures it is hoped that appointments can continue without too much disruption, for the time being. I am staying abreast of health department advice, and will update all my wonderful clients if and when that advice changes. Take care of yourselves and loved ones, wash your hands and practice your elbow bump and foot shakes (in lieu of hand shakes)! Sending virtual hugs, Jesse See more

22.01.2022 Here’s a mid iso uplift post - hang in there everyone! The downs of life are amplified at the moment, but so are the ups - keep finding joy in the small things, and treat yourself the way you would treat a small child - lots of kind words, good food, plenty of sleep, and cuddles galore xxx

21.01.2022 Well!! It seems it’s been a busy ‘special cause’ week - Continence Week, Men’s Health Week AND Cervical Screening Awareness Week! I decided to go with a post for the last one - mainly because I took the ‘plunge’ and got up to date with my screening this week (and this post from the NHS made me giggle). The other thing that made me giggle this week was a girlfriend telling me to ‘have fun!!’ as I walked in to my GP’s room for my cervical screening test If laughing and giggling and joking gets you in the door for your cervical screening, that’s great - but please, do what ever it takes. You are too precious for a few minutes of discomfort to put off a test that could save your life xxxx (Ps. My test wasn’t even uncomfortable anyway..just a little ‘scratchy’.. I gave my awesome GP 10/10 for technique, 11/10 for care)

21.01.2022 Dear Freedom Physiotherapy Clients, Many of you will have received a text message from me today. It is with sadness and some trepidation that, in light of recent advice from the State Government regarding closure of ‘non-essential’ businesses, I have decided to close Freedom Physiotherapy Castlemaine until further notice. At this stage the Australian Physiotherapy Association is not advising private practice physiotherapy service closures. I personally feel this is inappropr...iate. The only way COVID-19 will be controlled is through rigorous application of social distancing, self isolation and testing. Allowing exemptions for physio and other similar services is completely counter to this. I want to assure everyone that this closure is temporary. I am looking forward to reopening and helping you all on your individual journeys as soon as it is safe to do so. If any client has questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly on 0499214508 - I am happy to provide advice and education via video link or phone until normal services resume. Until we meet again, stay safe, and here’s some added motivation to keep up those pelvic floor exercises (if that’s what you’re in to). All the very best, Jesse, Freedom Physiotherapy Castlemaine See more

21.01.2022 If this isn’t the universe telling me I’m in the right job, I don’t know what is! Today is my birthday AND Menstrual Hygiene Day! Woo! I don’t think I could’ve picked a better day to coincide with my b-day (although I probably would’ve called it something cooler, like ‘Period Pants Party Day!’)....so today, I will be thinking about my beautiful family, my twin sister, Kylie Minogue (Happy B-Day Kyles) and how lucky I am to have been born into a country with easy access to menstrual hygiene products

11.01.2022 Woohoo!! Two whole years! In the busy-ness of the business this week, I nearly missed this anniversary! Thank you to everyone who has supported, suggested, championed and encouraged Freedom Physiotherapy Castlemaine. I was so right to choose this town, there is no place I’d rather be. Here’s to many more years to come! This invoice is the very first one I ever printed. I have it in my office, and every time I see it I am reminded of how far I have come. And I am reminded of ...how bloody nervous I was at the prospect of going out on my own! 08.01.2022 Home schooling - stick with what you know, I say! My kids have been asking some GREAT question over the past few weeks - a perfect time to learn about their bodies, never too early! Despite all this *awesome* learning, we are having a hiatus from homeschooling next week and I will be out of the clinic, however will be back on board from June 1. The best way to contact me next week will be via email - [email protected] Cheers, Jesse

08.01.2022 A beautiful weekend away! And confirmation my children do not feel the cold. Back in the clinic this week!

07.01.2022 What does a pelvic health physio do when she’s self-isolating at home with a cold? Aside from waiting for the results of my covid test, I’ve been drawing my favourite thing! My high school art teacher would be proud! Thank you to all my wonderful clients who have all been so accommodating this week when I called to reschedule due to my sniffles. School holidays at the moment, so I’m away next week, but will be back on board from the 13th of July, looking forward to seeing you all. Stay safe, wash your hands xxx Ps best to contact me via email for the next week - [email protected] - I will be a little slow returning messages, but will do as soon as I’m back in service.

07.01.2022 New plants, new space - cannot wait to share both with everyone! #castlemainehealth #bendigohealth #pelvichealthphysiotherapy #pregnancyphysiotherapy #pregnancypilates #pilatesphysiotherapy #peacelily #asqskydancers #castlemainevictoria

07.01.2022 I stand with you

06.01.2022 Many of you will have received a text message this afternoon reiterating that Freedom Physiotherapy will, at this stage, be remaining open with strict hygiene measures in place including the wearing of masks. Any client with an upcoming appointment who wishes to change to a Telehealth appointment can contact me on 0499 214 508 or [email protected] Take care and stay safe, Jesse

05.01.2022 So, how do you look good in a face mask? Don’t ask me, I’ve been trying to get a decent shot for the past half hour..LUCKILY face masks are not about looking good, they’re about stopping the spread of nasties. From this week I will be wearing a face mask for all face to face appointments - it would be great if you could bring your own mask to upcoming appointments, however single use masks will be available at the clinic. Stay safe and well, Jesse

03.01.2022 Ahhh last day of the school holidays! Not sure if I’m happy or sad to see them go! While the kids are playing, I am, of course, continuing my quest to read every book ever written that could even vaguely pertain to Pelvic Health Physiotherapy (I love my job!). This is actually a really funny read, would certainly recommend! Even though I’ve been back in the clinic on random days for the past couple of weeks, Freedom Physiotherapy is officially back from hols tomorrow (once the kids are packed off to school). Call 0499214508 or PM for an appointment! Ps Stay tuned for some exciting news in the next couple of weeks too!! Jess xx
