25.01.2022 My little family. The ones who keep me on purpose, chasing dreams and constantly striving to be the best version of myself

25.01.2022 Hands up if youre obsessed with dill It seriously adds so much flavour to the simplest of meals like this roast veggie and grilled chicken. Dill is an amazing source of fibre, folate, calcium, manganese, iron and riboflavin for cell function and development. Chop it up and garnish your meal with it S xx

25.01.2022 What gets me up in the morning . Now that uni is back I have been waking at 5am every morning so I can get 3-4hrs of solid work in before Van wakes up. Normally Id be springing out of bed to get Van up but at 5am this bulletproof coffee is honestly what gets me up Im obsessed! . A few coffee guidelines I try to stick to:... I always hydrated first before coffee. I start my day with 1lt of warm lemon water. I wait 1-2hrs after waking before having my coffee so it doesnt interfere with my bodys cortisol production. I have it 30 min away from meals so it doesnt interfere with nutrient absorption. . How I make a bulletproof coffee: I use 1 @lolacoffee_ sachet. 1 cup of boiling water 1 tsp @melrosehealth ghee 2 tbsp @melrosehealth MCT oil 1 tsp @setthebar.co mushrooms. Atm Im using Turkey Tail (Its full of antioxidants and boosts the immune system) I blend all this together until foamy and drink. S xx See more

24.01.2022 Slow Sunday morning . This uni trimester is finally coming to an end which means I dont have to drag myself out of bed every morning at 5am to get study and work done before Van wakes up, after a night of no more than 2 - 3 hours of consecutive sleep (cheers Van ) . Instead I get to lay in bed until my body is ready to get up, I can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun while Van plays and eats copious amounts of bark, and I can take the day as it comes! ... . Where do you find a little bliss in your day? S xx See more

24.01.2022 After 9 months of posting my balanced bowls and a baby later its finally here the Balanced Bowls Ebook as promised. . I used to think health meant I had to buy all fresh and organic produce. I had to make everything from scratch and cut out certain food groups. But the reality is that that isnt possible nor is it necessary to achieve good health. . I think we can put so much pressure on ourselves when it comes to the food we eat and the food choices we make. And more o...ften than not it causes more stress and harm in ones life. Not only does the stress negatively impact our body systems but can also lead to poor food choices and habits. . I believe its important to eat healthy 70-80% of the time and to do what fits your lifestyle. If frozen meals work for you and your lifestyle, eat them. If meal delivery services are needed, use them. If your salad comes out of a bag like mine sometimes does, eat it. Its better than no salad at all. And that is what I am here to teach you. . This book has all the basic principles I teach to my clients for good health. It teaches you how to use your own palm to portion your meals to suit your body. How to balance your protein, carbohydrates and fats. How to navigate the supermarket shelves. Plus a combination of vegetarian / vegan and meat based recipes to get you started. . Follow the link below. S xx https://www.freedomwellness.com.au/ebooks/balanced-bowls

23.01.2022 There is so much we can do with food and herbs to boost and support our immune system during this time. Our body is so bloody intelligent and will have your back if you have its. Support it with good nourishing food, cook with an abundance of herbs and use supplements for additional support. . My all time favourite supplement for immune health is the @setthebar.co turkey tail powder. An absolute essential for boosting immunity. S xx

22.01.2022 Homeopathy has been amazing for us in the support of Vans health. So far in Vans life we have been incredibly blessed that he has not needed western intervention. You can support things such as teething, colic, sleep, immunisations and so much more all through homeopathic remedies. With Vans first tooth coming through chamomilla(derived from the chamomile plant) has been a life saver . So what is Homeopathy? They are medicines prepared in a specific way from plants and othe...r substances. They work by stimulating the bodys own healing mechanisms. Obviously there is a time and place to seek medical attention particularly for bubbys as things can escalate a lot quicker. However, I share this so you also know there are alternative interventions that have proven to be safe and effective in the treatment of certain conditions for babies. At the end of the day you are your babies cheerleader so do whats right for you guys. But for us, working with homeopathic remedies has been an amazing fit because I truely believe and have full trust in the power of the body. . If you want to learn more there are many homeopathy practitioners that specialise in children and some Naturopaths will also practice with homeopathy too. S xx See more

Being the first trip with Van I really had no idea what I was going to be feeding him but its safe to say his getting the best of the best . For the airport and plane I packed frozen cubes of chicken liver, sweet potato, pumpkin, spinach, cucumber a mango chia pudding. I had also packed enough to last us ...our first day in Vanuatu which gave me time to scope out the markets and get some food ready. 18.01.2022 Its official... I just want to dive into a giant mug of ceremonial cacao and never get out. This was honestly the most delicious drink EVER! . Ceremonial cacao can be enjoyed on your own but also in group gatherings or a circle. So, one of my girlfriends and I decided we would start a little FaceTime ceremonial cacao circle together with music, ceremonial cacao while our kiddies play, to help keep us connected, especially during this time. 18.01.2022 I just had so much fun doing a live IG all about Motherhood over on @pcos_to_wellness account . We spoke about our conception and pregnancy journeys. Brigitte had PCOS and was told she wouldnt fall pregnant naturally. And I was told miscarriage was a high possibility due to having a thyroid condition. . I did unfortunately miscarriage before having Van which I have spoken about before on my podcast. And one common question today was how long will it take to fall pregnant... again after a miscarriage? . . This is such a hard question to answer because there are so many variables that can play into your fertility journey. Such as: Was there an underlying cause of the miscarriage? How was the miscarriage handled? What are your hormones now doing? Have you got your period back since? Do you have a lot of stress (physical/emotional) present in your life? . . These are just some of the questions to ask. If this is something you are struggling with though, I highly recommend working with a health care practitioner(s) that can help you create the best internal world in your body to allow for the best outcome of pregnancy. 02.01.2022 One week ago was complete happiness in this magical place . After years of chatting about it, I feel so lucky that I was able to squeeze this quick holiday in with my family to Vanuatu. Although we came back to self-isolation and complete madness it was worth it. . Like many I have only seen the outside world through my windows for the past 7 days. Living in the inner city doesnt really allow for backyard hangs or quick escapes to the park, because we are constantly surro...unded by people.
