18.01.2022 Hear from Karen, daughter of Jann, resident at Freedom Redland Bay, about her family’s experience with Freedom and how she couldn’t have wished for a better place for her parents to call home - https://bit.ly/supportive_community "Choosing Freedom Redland Bay has been an incredibly positive experience for our parents, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

15.01.2022 Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to remind the important people in your life just how much you care. From everyone at Freedom Care Communities, we wish you and your loved ones a Happy Valentine's Day!

07.01.2022 From all of us at Freedom Care Communities, we wish everyone a safe and joyous Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

06.01.2022 Today is Valentine's Day, and to mark the occasion, we'd like to share a story from a lovely couple living in one of our communities - Shirley and Malcolm. "When I first met my husband 39 years ago, we talked a lot about our previous lives. He told me that after his first wife died, he took an AAPT coach trip from Adelaide to Darwin through the centre. Apparently all the people on the coach were couples, except for Delores, an American lady. "After we had been dating for thre...e months, it was February 14th, Valentine's Day, and I had sent him two cards just to confuse him, anonymous of course. He rang me and asked if he could come to see me. Of course I said come to dinner. "He ate all the dinner, every crumb, then said, "Oh, by the way, I won't be seeing you for a month, as Delores is coming over from America so I would see how things go with her!" "I was not impressed, in fact I yelled, "Get out and don't come back." "He came back and Delores did not." Shirley and Malcolm have been together since and now live happily together with their furry friend at Freedom Banora Point. Congratulations Shirley and Malcolm! We wish you all the best this Valentine's Day. Learn more about Freedom Banora Point here - http://bit.ly/Banora-point

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Olive Edmonds, resident at Freedom Tamworth, who celebrated her 100th birthday over the weekend! To commemorate her special day, Olive joined family and friends in the community centre for the first of two birthday parties. She then enjoyed a second celebration with family over the weekend. A mother of four, a grandmother of 11 and a great grandmother of 29, Olive is described by her children as a devoted and caring mother.... When asked for the biggest lesson she had learned from making it a century in life, Olive said the key is patience. Congratulations Olive! We wish you all the happiness in the world. 06.01.2022 Today we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day. At Freedom Care Communities, we believe it is not just bricks and mortar that make our communities such great places to live and work. It is also the kindness, care and respect shown by those who live and work in them. Residents and staff at Freedom Care Communities show true kindness and a genuinely caring spirit. From throwing wedding anniversary celebrations and 100th birthday celebrations, to donating to support vital breas...t cancer research, it is this genuine community spirit that makes Freedom Care Communities such welcoming places to live. To celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day, we encourage you to do something a little extra. Pop around to a neighbour’s house for a cuppa, write a note of thanks, buy someone a cupcake - it’s the little things that warm the heart and show we care. For the residents and staff who have shown kindness to their neighbours, colleagues and friends, particularly over the last 12 months, we thank you. Has someone shown you kindness and made an impact in your life? Let us know in the comments below! #RandomActsofKindnessDay
