For anyone struggling with their riding... whether it be a technique or a goal that seems just out of reach... the thought of giving up instead of failing seems tempting. If you take the short road and give up, remember just because you didn’t fail publicly or even just in your own opinion, the fact you have given up trying has in fact sealed your fate to fail full stop. While you are still actively trying to achieve that goal, whether it be a cert...ain time on the track, a certain movement, a certain fence you can’t quite master or that horse you just can’t sit to when he bucks your still travelling towards success. One day you will hold that bolter. You will sit that buck. You will hit that fence with the perfect striding and you will beat that personal best. But that can only happen with the right attitude. Remain positive. Remain open minded. Try new things. Brain storm. Don’t get disheartened. Make each day you don’t achieve what you want hungrier and thirstier to get better. Remember. A good rider can ride a good horse well. A great rider can ride ANY horse better. See more
