24.01.2022 Hi Team Aqua Aerobics will start again at the New Norfolk Pool on Thursday 29th October at 5pm, for a 45 minute class. We are doing things a bit differently this year by taking bookings and payment upfront for an 8 week block, leading up to Christmas. To book in and pay, please click on the link below. The cost is $13 per class (plus a small booking fee) and you will be paying for the whole 8 weeks.... To ensure that this class gets off the ground, we need a minimum of 10 participants to book in and pay upfront. Once this happens, the class will be confirmed and the block of 8 weeks will go ahead. If this happens, we will then also accept casual participants on the night at $15 cash per class. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me on 0417 464 476. Metafit is delivered worldwide and is a HIIT workout using only body weight exercises, tough but effective! We are excited to now offer Thursday night Zumba to our members at no extra cost for the month of September. Thank you Steph!... Pilates with Mary is Wednesday morning via our members only facebook page, this class as well as our library of Yoga classes always gets lots of visits throughout the month as you can come back to them as many times as you like. Everything else stays the same Strength, HIIT, Bootcamp, Cross Training, Staying Active. With so much variety we have you covered.

20.01.2022 Happy Saturday Evening All! Hope that you are having a fabulous weekend! Please see attached the timetable for the next two weeks! A few things to note:... - Starting this week, the 9.15am class on Friday mornings will be a LIVE Cross Training class with Karen Beasant as the instructor! Karen has been running the Bothwell classes for the last couple of weeks and we welcome her to the New Norfolk Crew on a Friday morning. Most of you probably know that Karen spent the first couple of months of the year studying to get her Cert 3 in Fitness and no sooner did she get qualified, COVID-19 hit, so it's great to finally have her taking classes!! - As requested by a number of you, Bootcamp will go back to a 9am start on Saturday mornings. - Friday 28th is the last Friday of the month, so Lyn will be taking an EXPRESS YOGA class (around 35 mins) live in the Members only FB group - make sure you join her if you can, or do it later on - Please remember to look for the ^ sign on the timetable so that you know which classes are being live streamed It's been great to see a lot of you are still joining us at home for the live workouts - if you are in our members only group, make sure you remember to comment when you do a recorded class so we know what is being re-done! Make sure you write a couple of sessions you are going to get to in your diary and make it a priority to look after yourself by getting you exercise sessions in! Have a fabulous week all!!

The 6am class will be short and sharp with you out the door at 6.35am. If we don't see numbers building in these classes they may not stay on the timetable so if you want them there please show support! - Thursday 22nd October is a Public Holiday - classes on this day will run in the morning only - NO afternoon 4.15pm and 5.15pm - Virtual spin is available to start at any of the times a class starts EXCEPT Tuesday at 6.15pm and on Thursday it is now only available at 10.15am - To make the timetable clearer and only show classes provided by us. 16.01.2022 Our small business in the Derwent Valley makes a big difference to our community! I recently needed to put together a 30 sec video of how our business makes a difference to our members. I asked members to tell us in a couple of sentences how we make a difference to them and from the comments we received, we put this little video together. Unfortunately we couldn't use all the wonderful comments, but we will use those for other things! We love our community ;-)

09.01.2022 Happy Sunday Everyone! Please see below the timetable for the next two weeks during school holidays, along with class descriptions. We are really happy with how things have been going this last week. It's been really pleasing to see everyone sanitising, writing up attendance, adhering to the 1.5m social distancing rule and also thoroughly cleaning the equipment. Thank you very much.... It's also been fabulous to see lots of people in the gym, as well as really good numbers participating in the live classes through the members only Facebook page and also revisiting workouts that have previously been recorded. All evening class this fortnight will be taken live from the gym. Please make sure you read the timetable closely and ensure you take note of times of classes..... We have Lisa F in this week on Saturdy for Cross Training at 9.15am, followed by Stacey B on the 18th at 8.45am (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME HERE). We look forward to seeing you all this week ;-)
08.01.2022 Awesome job by Bec Ferris on our recently completed 28-Day Kick Start. Here’s what she had to say... My clothes fit again!! I have more energy and our whole family is eating better. I lost 3 kg and 12 cm. I can do 10 push-ups on my toes again (just )... Bec is now in a great exercise routine, has decreased the amount of coffee she’s consuming and making great food choices!! 08.01.2022 Emily Ackerly is another Freedom Crew member who recently completed our 28-Day Kick Start..... our next one is starting on Monday, so it's not too late to join - just contact me if you are interested...... Some words from Em below..... I have learnt that organisation and preparation is key! I now take some time on the weekend to sort everything out for the coming week and get to make great food for my family. My grocery budget has dropped, along with my weight.... My body feels different and my clothes are sitting differently. My strength and recovery time have improved heaps! I lost 25cm's and 2.35 kgs. I'm really happy, and look forward to continuing this journey. I have also learnt the importance of a good support system. I'm so thankful that my husband has had my back through this. He committed to changing his habits too, and together we will be able to be good role models for our daughter Evie. Surrounding yourself with like minded people who have similar goals is important. Freedom does that for me. There is always someone to cheer you on and believe that you can do things even when you don’t believe it yourself. Having great trainers means so much! I love every one at freedom, everyone is supportive. So proud of you Em - keep up the fabulous work!

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Timetable for the next 2 weeks is here! You have all been asking about the new TV and sound bar on the wall and some of you guessed it..... yes, there will be some recorded classes available at different times. This means you will be able to do one of the classes from our online library whilst other members are doing their FIRE sessions. There will be a trainer to help you set up and get started and to check your technique and motivate you from the stairs so you... will be safe and kept accountable. The classes are Mon & Fri morning at 9.15am. Mon & Wed afternoons 5pm. New Class time - Thursday 4pm STRENGTH. The class plan for the next two weeks is done, Anita & I are looking forward to delivering this one! Zumba is back with Stephanie on Thursday nights at 6.15pm. Please note this class is not part of the Freedom membership but i am sure quite a few of our members will be keen to give it a go. Hope to see some new faces in the gym for this one too. The trainers at Freedom also know how to support, encourage, and motivate you to g...et back into a routine that helps you move towards being the best YOU that you can be. If you are a past member, you already know how we work and what a fabulous community we have, and we want you to come back and be part of that community. We know it is hard to return after a break, but we have your back! And our awesome members will also be there for you. Lyn will be live streaming an express Yoga class to our members only facebook page on Friday the 25th, i love that these classes get re-visits all month, especially on Sundays - a great way to finish the week from the comfort of your own home. 01.01.2022 Two months ago today, we very sadly lost one of our Freedom Crew, Joey Ackerley. It has taken me this time be able to sit down and put some words together about the impact he had on all of us at Freedom...
