23.01.2022 It saddens me to inform you that my time in Carlton at Panacea Movement Medicine is coming to an end. If you'd like to get together for a session before the clinic closes at the end of the month get in touch. As sad as I am, there is much to celebrate. First and foremost is Unna Goldsworthy. I have been fortunate to meet a life long friend who "gets me". Unna makes me feel safe to be me. We share ice cream and she even laughs at my jokes. She is a beacon of light and hope to ...so many and pours her heart into her work helping so many with their health and movement. Unna is having another little bub soon and has decided to close shop for a while to be an awesome mum. Thank you so much for having me Unna I'd like to celebrate my clients and the courage they portray to be willing to explore their inner and outer self in our sessions and beyond. Thank you for embracing me as a human and therapist as we move together trough time. And lastly a little celebration for me (something I perhaps don't do enough) yay to me for getting out pf my comfort zone and having a crack at working in the big scar melbourne CBD. A scruffy haired must from the burbs who burnt out and desperately wanted to get his own health and movement back on track, and in doing so discovered a way I can passionately serve others and help them do the same. Big thanks to anyone and everyone who has helped me along the way. Love you all. As to where I head next.. to be radically honest.. I'm not sure. I've been thinking it over the last couple of months and nothing has sat right quite yet so I'm not rushing into anything. I'm open to doing some mini workshops, home visits, and if you have a space you'd like me to come share some of my work shoot me a msg. Whatever happens I'll keep you all informed Lastly here is a little vid of some exploratory movement at Panacea Movement Medicine. I'll miss the plants, I'll miss the vibes, I'll miss the ice cream on Lygon, and I'll miss all the beautiful faces I interface with in the clinic. Cheers for the good times Shoot me a msg if you'd like to work together this week Rob.

20.01.2022 Exploring some rotation of the talus bone in the foot. Stand up and check in what you feel in your body. Motion of the talus is important as it can have huge influences on how we rotate the body above. Where we lack motion, something will always work to make up for it. A point to note that I didn't mention in the video... - As you rotate can you maintain contact through the tripod of the foot (Base of the heel, 1st toe joint, 5th toe joint) or do you have a tendency to lift big toe joint off the floor to allow for rotation? Perhaps it never touched be floor in the first place This can mean rear foot and forefoot are lacking oppositional movement. What do you feel in your body? Do you feel rotation below? Or just above? Credit to Gary Ward for teaching me this material. Use it every day in my own body and with my clients. Love it!

14.01.2022 Thanks for the opportunity to learn from each and everyone of you who choose to work with me this year. It's been a brilliant to share it with you all. I've been a little quiet lately as I have been channeling my energy into a project that I believe will serve you all greater than any social media post I could create. ... Thanks for your support. Wishing you all a wonderful finish to 2017. Have a beaut one, Rob.

04.01.2022 Discover "what's missing" with my mentor and friend Gary Ward at Sydney's Filex fitness convention Sunday 22nd April. I'll be there to lend a hand nudging a few bones and holding some eyes on the horizon. A great opportunity to check in with your movement mechanics and explore what you didn't know you didn't know ... See ya there #AiM #whatsmissing #filex #jointsactmusclesreact http://www.filex.com.au/fi/c1m-a-practical-movement-journey

03.01.2022 Exploration of an old hamstring injury to ease back discomfort and tidy up lateral flexion of the spine. Note the difference in pelvis position and R side bending of the spine between the videos. We explored the idea that due to an old hamstring tear on he L, and surgery on the R wrist making wrist extension difficult.. shifting weight into the L side of the body with the pelvis seemed untrustworthy (visible in first vid)... With a little invitation to load up the L hamstring again, in combo with R wrist extension, exploring these tissues potential to allow bones to move into spaces that had been avoided due to injury and threat, his system regained trust to shift the pelvis over the L foot and therefore tidy up R lateral flexion of the spine. (visable in second vid) You can play with this yourself. Stand up and shift your pelvis to the L and R. Keep your eyes Level on the horizon. If you allow the rest of your body to react to the shifting of the pelvis, which way do you feel your spine bend? The same way the pelvis is shifting? Of the opposite? Do you have an injures or surgeries that may prevent your spine bending one way? Or your pelvis shifting one way? Of putting weight in one foot compared to the other? Can you feel how something can effect everything? Some pretty cool connections thanks to the Flow Motion Model as taught by @garyward_aim
