12.01.2022 I NEVER REALLY LIKED THE WORD 'ENTREPRENEUR' For some reason calling myself one felt like I was trying to be something I'm not. I didn't really know why. I'd been in Commerce for most of my life, had a degree in Accounting and Finance, and have had some pretty awesome jobs over the years. ... But now I realise being an entrepreneur is to create something new, be innovative, have new ideas etc. and build from all of the above. Whilst I have done all of these things within the corporate world, in the entrepreneurial world it was common practice to do what others did, follow a method and call it my own business because I was now an 'Entrepreneur' or 'Independent Business Owner'. It never sat comfortably with me. Whilst I had fun at times doing 'party plans' and offering 'special deals', it didn't take long for this to be a chore. Following up all the time, hussling and hassling to get every sale I could by the end of the month. Having the reach targets. Convert to/from PV. Argh! I don't miss that at all! Now I am part of a phenomenal group of people that lift each other up and inspire me to be the best I can be. With true intentions to help others and create a better world. I was also introduced to a vehicle that has provided me with the opportunity to build my own business online - with every little bit of training, guidance, support and encouragement that I could ever ask for! How is this any different? My 'business' is built around me BEING ME. I don't need to repeatedly sell anything to people. I am genuinely helping others and am affiliated with a product that I truly love and believe in.
