21.01.2022 We will be holding a small service near the Cenotaph on Sunday 18th August at 11am to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day.

17.01.2022 Freeling RSL would like to inform you that we will NOT be conducting our Normal ANZAC DAY March, Dawn Service or Gunfire Breakfast due to the ongoing Corona Virus Restrictions. We hope that you will continue to commemorate all the service Men and Women that have fought for this Great Country of ours. The Australian Flag will fly at Half Mast at the Cenotaph, ANZAC Park and Recreational Park in Memory of those that have paid the Supreme Sacrifice and we would like to invite an...yone wishing to lay a wreath (or memento) at the Cenotaph, in YOUR OWN TIME. Please do not congregate or linger around the area as others may wish to pay their respects and not breach any Corona Virus guidelines. We also encourage you to show your support and "Line The Streets" of Freeling in one of the many Driveway Activities. I will be Saying the Ode and then playing the Last Post, Minutes Silence, Rouse, and First Verse of the Australian National Anthem at home as well as "Lighting the Dawn". Music can be downloaded from Veterans Affairs. The Adelaide Dawn Service will be Broadcast Live on ABC News Channel 24 between 6am and 6.30am as well as ABC Radio 891 with Peter Goers. Please note Channel 2, 21 will be broadcasting Melbourne’s (a Different Timezone).

12.01.2022 Thank you, Freeling Primary School for your kind Christmas Wishes and for your ongoing participation in our commemorations. It's gives us Great Pleasure to see you all there and to know that you honour and "Do Remember Them"

11.01.2022 We have had a big delivery of books arrive. Lots of James Patterson available. $1 each. All the money raised goes to Freeling RSL... Thank you to everyone who donates, to enable us to do this.

09.01.2022 In recognition of ANZAC Day, the Reception class in Room 2 created Poppy artworks. These are now on display for the Freeling RSL in the Early Rise Cafe. It’s fantastic that even our youngest students can recognise the significance of ANZAC Day to our community and country.

04.01.2022 The commemoration of Remembrance Day will begin at the Cenotaph at 10:45 tomorrow morning. The Primary School Choir will be singing the National Anthem if you want to come and join them. Thank you all the ladies that have knitted the poppies that adorn the tree.

04.01.2022 Further to my last. There will be a "Gunfire" Breakfast at the Freeling Rec Park's Function Room (Footy Clubrooms), where all are welcome at the conclusion of the Dawn Service. Hope to see you there

Grab an Entry Form from the (No Contact) Freeling RSL A Frame (33 Hanson Street) or Early Rise Café and Win a Legacy Bear. Entries must be received by ANZAC Day - 25th April 2020....
