16.01.2022 As you may have heard, the state is going into a hard lockdown from midnight tonight. SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED. If a parent is designated as an essential worker and there is no adult at home, their children will be supervised at school, but there will not be a formal learning program. The school will only have a skeleton staff; if there is an adult at home children should be at home with them, not at school. If parents are working from home, children also need to stay home. ...Children who must attend school must come directly to the STEM room, which will open at 8:45am. At this stage this information is for Thursday and Friday. We believe Monday and Tuesday next week may be designated pupil free days, which means that all parents may need to make alternative arrangements for the care of their children, including essential workers. We will continue to provide information via Facebook and seesaw as this is clarified by the department. At this time I have no information about the availability of OSHC services. See more

06.01.2022 We have received an email from Happy Haven OSHC informing us that OSHC should be available for before and after school hours care this week for families where parents are essential workers. At this time it is our understanding that they will provide care during the days on Monday and Tuesday for children of essential workers, as these two days have been designated pupil free days. Please contact Happy Haven directly for more information or to book. It is our understanding ...that the government are currently working to develop an agreed list of essential workers. We will continue to provide updates to families as information becomes available.

05.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 was the 8th-15th of November. This collage was created by Ms Bishop’s receptions in room 1 & Mrs Cavallaro’s year 3/4s in room 6. The students each did an A4 section and we put it all together to form these beautiful pieces of artwork. They look magnificent and it’s a good time to appreciate the country we live in and thank the original inhabitants for sharing their land with us all.

04.01.2022 COVID UPDATE We understand this is a challenging time for our families and our community. There is a skeleton staff at school to care for the children of essential workers only. Where there is an adult at home to care of children, they need to be at home. This enables us to support the purpose of the hard lockdown, which is to keep movement in the community to an absolute minimum. It is possible that online learning will commence for children on Wednesday; we are awaiting f...urther direction from SA Health. The department have an online learning site for families that can be accessed at any time: www.education.sa.gov.au/our-learning-sa We appreciate the support of our community in these challenging times. Stay safe, everyone.
