25.01.2022 It is with sadness that we heard of the passing of former FRCC player Don Parkinson, whose son David played in one of our 3rd grade teams the season just gone. Our condolences go out to Dave and the rest of Dons family.

24.01.2022 FRCC captains and coaches - With the heat forecast this weekend, please take note of the HDCA Extreme Heat Policy 1. TEMPERATURE THRESHOLD -Seniors and Juniors Where a temperature threshold is stated, the following measurement shall apply. The Feels like or effective temperature (taking into account wind and humidity) from the nearest weather station in degrees from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) Weather App shall be used. The feels like temperature may vary from the abs...olute temperature depending on the level of humidity and wind. 2. SMARTPHONE APP BOM shall be the official App for sourcing temperature data. The feels like temperature shall be the official temperature measurement. Smartphone location settings must be enabled. 3. CESSATION OF PLAY Level 1 The umpires, coaches or captains shall schedule additional drinks intervals in the event that the feels like temperature exceeds 37 degrees (Seniors) and 32 degrees Celsius (Juniors). Players and umpires may leave the field of play during this interval. Level 2 Play shall cease immediately in the event that the BOM feels like temperature, at the location, reaches or exceeds 43 degrees (Seniors) and 38 degrees Celsius (Juniors). Resumption of play Play shall resume if the feels like temperature drops below the relevant Cessation Temperature. 4. LOSS OF PLAYING TIME (DUE TO EXTREME HEAT) is to be treated as adverse weather conditions as if the game was stopped for a rain delay. 5. ADVANCE CANCELLATION OF AN ENTIRE DAY’S PLAY The association MAY determine to cancel a day’s play in the event that the forecast temperature, at 4:00pm on the day before scheduled play, is 45 degrees or more. 6. INCREASED DRINKS BREAKS AND EXTENDED INTERVALS Forecast temperature exceeding 32 degrees Prior to the start of play on any match day, the umpires if assigned, coaches and captains shall conduct a heat safety briefing - (a) to determine increasing the number and duration of drinks intervals, and; (b) to determine whether to extend the duration of interval between innings. 7. Where Forecast is for 45 degrees or more on the Saturday, Junior matches start times are to be brought forward to 8:00am and Stage 2 matches reduced to 20 overs, to reduce the chance that they are playing when it may potentially reach 38 degrees.

15.01.2022 A message from FRCC President, George Greentree as we go into the first games of the season; All the best for tomorrow and all season. Remember to enjoy yourselves, play the game in the right spirit and always show respect and appreciation to your coaches and captains. To our coaches, thank you all for the contribution to all our juniors young lives. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you. GG and all the FRCC family.

12.01.2022 Good luck to our Woolworths Blasters who begin their season at Don't Worry Oval this afternoon. Some are having their 2nd or 3rd seasons in the program, while others are just beginning their cricket journeys. Either way, they're sure to have plenty of fun and will learn some new skills in their preparation for under 10s in the coming seasons.

12.01.2022 Woolworths Blast Unfortunately, with the grounds closed until at least Thursday, our Woolworths Blasters are going to have to have the week off, but will hopefully get back out there next Wednesday, weather permitting.

11.01.2022 The first 6 rounds of the draw are up. http://hdca.nsw.cricket.com.au/common//public/rv/draw.aspx

09.01.2022 We’ve ordered more junior playing shirts, but these are still a few weeks away. Could any parent of a junior player who needs a shirt let us know what size you need in the comments please? We still have a few in stock, so you might be lucky.

09.01.2022 What a start to the season for our under 10s. At 5 o'clock on the Thursday afternoon before their first game of the season (and first game of cricket for 98% of the team!), they had 4 players and were borrowing eligible under 10s from the under 11s, but had no coach. Half an hour or so later, they had 7 players of their own, thanks to one of the Mums in the side who knew where to look for kids looking for a game of cricket (thanks Rachel Garrow!). Then our young curator Darcy... Anderson stepped up and said he could fill the coaching vacancy in his "spare time", much to our relief and appreciation. The side trotted out onto Peel Park on Saturday against a Schofields team who had every right to feel confident, but they were undone by the spirited Freemans Reach (and an up and coming young star on loan from the under 11s!) to register their first win from their first game, lead by Aarush Shah who hit 6 sixes in his 35 and had great performances from Tommy Tabet, son of FRCC legend Chris, Zac and Evie Garrow, children of FRCC premiership player Andrew, under 10s veteran, the returning young gun, Angus Callaghan, the newest Greentree (another one!), Riley and Isla Pinnoy, who only joined the club on Thursday. The team, who now has 8 players, will play their next match tomorrow against Pitt Town out at Pitt Town Sports Club. Good luck and welcome to FRCC. You've already done the club and yourselves proud! 08.01.2022 Freemo senior captains. The HDCA captains night is on Thursday 15th October at Panthers Nth Richmond, starting 7.00pm. 6 competition points are awarded for attendance, so if you’re unable to attend please ensure you have a representative from your team there.

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, to comply with our COVID plan each senior player, parent or spectator who attends a junior or senior match this season will need to sign in to our COVID register. To do this, scan the QR code below and answer a few quick questions, it takes less than 30 seconds. (None of your details leave the club, they are maintained on a spreadsheet by FRCC) It is suggested that each team print the QR code and stick it into their scorebook.

05.01.2022 Woolworths Blasters! With lightening around and a storm approaching, we’ve made the call to cancel our final Woolworths Blasters session for the season. Thank you to everyone who supported the program with us for the 8 weeks and a big thanks also to those parents who helped out.

03.01.2022 Annual General Meeting - 16th of June starting at 7pm at Freemans Reach Hall.

02.01.2022 What a great performance by our unders 13s Maroons Neel Patel, who was clearly Man of the match against Pitt Town out at South Maroota. Neel’s bowling figures were 5 for 18 from 5 overs. Neel is pictured here with his proud Dad, who's also the teams scorer and a just as proud coach, Stewart Hayne. Neels outstanding performance went a long way to ensuring the side picked up their first win for what's been a tough season for them so far.

02.01.2022 Exciting news for girls from Cricket NSW!
