23.01.2022 From the Grand Secretary Saturday 10 April 2021 Death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh... It is with profound sorrow that Freemasons Victoria learns overnight from Buckingham Palace of the passing of our Brother, His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Representing all Orders of Freemasons Victoria, the Grand Master, MWBro. Richard Elkington, has sent this message of condolence to Her Majesty The Queen's Private Secretary. A courtesy copy of that letter has been forwarded to His Royal Highness, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, accompanied by the sympathies of Victorian brethren. On behalf of all Freemasons in the State of Victoria, in the Commonwealth of Australia, I respectfully request that you convey to Her Majesty the Queen and all members of the Royal Family, the sincere sympathy and heartfelt condolences of all Freemasons in Victoria on the passing of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness the Prince Philip was a most respected, honoured, and beloved member of the Royal Family, and his passing will be most severely felt throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and indeed the whole world. "As a Freemason of long standing, His Royal Highness will be deeply mourned by his Brethren. Please assure Her Majesty the Queen that the kindest thoughts and prayers and continuing loyalty are with her and the entire family at this sad time. Our Masonic ritual provides the words ‘he lived respected and died regretted’ and never was this more true than on this present sad occasion. 19.01.2022 Vale: We are sadden by the news that our Brother, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh has passed to the grand lodge above. Prince Philip was a member of our craft for 68 years and was a member of the Navy Lodge.

19.01.2022 When the No. 23 Masonic Social Committee heard that a fridge and freezer needed replacing at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI) laboratory, they were only too pleased to provide the $1500 required. The committee has also previously supported the institute’s research efforts with a $3000 donation in 2017. The freezer in particular wasn't easy to source. Most of the freezers on the market are frost-free, and the nature of the temperature control on that type of f...reezer makes them unsuitable for lab use. However FECRI managed to locate a suitable freezer and have put it to good use. The replacement fridge is used to store a multitude of antibody samples, and with a cost of around $100 per vial, this fridge is a very vital piece of equipment. The Sturt-Buninyong United Lodge conducts an annual fruit sale to raise funds for charity, which has so far enabled in excess of $60,000 to be distributed to local groups and organisations since 1999. Unfortunately COVID-19 impacted the sale last year, but the remaining funds are continuing to be distributed to local organisations.

06.01.2022 Freemasons Hold the Good Friday Fort. Four local Freemasons WBro. Chris Davis, WBro. Barry Parker, WBro. Geoff Parsons assisted VWBro Ron Fleming in Freemasons support to Uncle Bob’s Club for the Royal Children’s Hospital 2021 Good Friday Appeal. Victorian Freemasons have assisted Uncle Bob’s on Good Friday since 2005.... Collecting at the Sebastopol Seven Eleven Store, the brethren raised an estimated 10kg of coins and notes. The total value will be determined following counting in Melbourne. There was a spontaneous response to the appeal ranging from a few coins to three figure donations. Along the way they heard stories of thanks from families who had a child’s life saved by Royal Children’s Hospital staff. Brethren enjoyed their interaction with people of all ages, appreciated hospitality from Seven Eleven staff and indicated their willingness to be there in 2022. #GoodFridayAppeal2021 #Freemasons #FreemasonsVictoria #Ballarat #seveneleven
