24.01.2022 Tradition is an essential part of Freemasonry. In a world where nothing stays the same, our Society has customs over 300 years old from which we learn timeless values.

23.01.2022 My how things have changed. Back in 1917 I fellow brother was killed during action in World War I. The lodge in which he was a member was so impressed with his ...honour and Vella that they wished to express their consolation to his parents. We have just received this beautiful illuminated document where Lodge Waratah No. 166 of the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT had this document created to send to Mr and Mrs Clark expressing their esteem and sympathy at the death of Brother Joseph H Clarke. This document is beautifully bound in a tooled leather binder. We rarely see such expressions in this day and age.

22.01.2022 Taking this opportunity to wish the United Grand Lodge of NSW and ACT a Happy Birthday. The foundation of the organisation in its current form in 1888 seems so far away. Since Sir Joseph Banks set foot on Australian soil we have seen Freemasons involved in many aspects of Australian society. Our oldest lodge, Lodge Antiquity No 1, celebrates its 200th anniversary in this difficult year. We hope that these good works continue for many years to come.

22.01.2022 Congratulations at extended to RW Bro Les Hicks, Chairman, Board of Management, on his election to the Office of Grand Master at the Communication of the Grand Lodge held on 10 March 2021. Grand Master-elect Hicks will be installed with all due pomp and ceremony at a Grand Installation Ceremony in August of this year. We look forward to welcoming as many brethren as possible to that event and information will be provided in due course.

05.01.2022 Freemasonry teaches ancient lessons. The appreciation of knowledge is one of those, especially the understanding of one's self. People of all background and stages of life gather to know more and grow.

05.01.2022 Symbolism is one of the mediums that Freemasonry uses to communicate its knowledge - and ceremonies are an essential part of that symbolism.
