23.01.2022 PHYSIO RUN HYDROTHERAPY! Hydrotherapy is a great exercise option that can be used to help strengthen the muscles around osteo arthritic joints. It has been shown to reduce associated pain and increase mobility. The water supports your body weight the effect of gravity is reduced. Therefore, joint movement and muscle strengthening that may not be possible on land can be achieved in the water. Hydrotherapy can also be beneficial when recovering from injury or surgery and to imp...rove balance and coordination. Physiotherapist Lleyton will be running small group hydrotherapy classes on Mondays from 2:30 3:00pm at the Northshore pool. Sessions only cost $15 which includes entry to the pool. This exercise is safe for pregnancy and can be effective in reducing back pain which is often a concern for pregnant women.
